From the Age today "The Magpies aree almost certain to include first gamer Tom Langdon for the opening round"

Goes on to say he did a good job on Bartel and Cotchin. Also he's a 19 yr old mature ager didn't know that.

Who would replace him given that Reid and White (who may miss) are tall forwards?

FantasyFreako said he was a lock to play about a week or two ago too, and I've had him on the bench with Georgiou since

As for JS, not sure how long he can hang around for. Reid and White shouldn't impact him, and you have to think Fasolo is fighting for a spot that Elliott currently has

I'm hoping his the replacement for Marley and can cement a spot playing a similar role

Thats also what I think RD. With the losses from the Pies backline I'm hoping he can lock away a role down there

Any issues with Seedsman coming long soon?

Just checked the injury list on the AFL website- Seedsman listed to miss another 3-4 weeks.

Hmm long enough to make some money but also long enough for us to get him in before round 3 only to be burned round 5-6....

I could be wrong as I havnt watched Langdon play, but I get the impression he is similar to Toovey, more of a lock down small forward role, where as the Seed isn't

I'm just really guessing with that though

Langdon is actually a bit of a ball magnet too.
If he gets a run and think he could score really well.

Dwyer and JThomas to come back too, likely in rnd 2. Not that will take the backline spot, but may push guys like Sidebottom or Young to half back anf Langdon out of the side.

There's also good news for draftee Tom Langdon. The defender "looks likely" to play this week, while @taylor_adams13 will line up #gopies

Will be hard not to pick him if named as he plays in the first game, but don't rate his js at all, add blair to the list of pies players back in rnd 2. 3 potential small running players in for rnd 2 for pies worries me.

Ricochet

Ok so with Shaw, Seedsman, Williams coming out of the backline and only Toovey (off the top of my head) to come back in. Is there anyone else that will push him out of the backline in the first few rounds?

cortez

It's simple, if he is named pick him. If dropped after first week or two trade him to a Langford, Clurey, Cameron etc...

Yeah this ^^^ we only need him to play long enough to make some cash and having the first game of the round is a big plus for picking him this week.
