Just thinking about which combo which would be better? Can Simpson avg more than McVeigh or atleast the same? And can Webster avg maybe 10 points per game than McDonald? can also see Webster having more js. Oh and by the way these two are fighting for my d5 spot with Brodie Martin at d6.

RaisyDaisy

McVeigh and McDonald easily

McVeigh will average more than Simpson, and McDonald/Webster will prob average the same, but McDonald being cheaper and both having same JS makes that option that clear choice for mine

McVeigh will prob go down in value at some stage, but just set and forget him, no need using a trade to bring him in later just to save 50k or so

Do we think that maybe McDonald will be rested and sub more than Webster though? It is his first year after all and honestly I can only see McVeigh averaging 5 points at most more than Simpson. The poll is pretty close!

McDonald has been training with the Roos for a few years now/playing vfl he is ready made.

Webster will average 10+ more ppg than McDonald IMO.
He is definitely worth the extra 50k but that's my opinion.

That's a lot of faith in an 11 gamer. McDonald is silk IMO, watched him closely in one of the praccie matches and he pulled off an amazing blind turn with three opponents baring down. To my mind he's good for 70+, in which case Webster will need to score 80+ to fulfill your prediction.

I think Webster is good for 80.

Will take kick ins and is a focus on the rebound with his damaging kick - very effective which is good in SC.

Big call for a player who has only ever achieved that feat once in 11 games (85 highest). I remember the same hype around Arryn Sippos and he turned out to be a dud selection (thankfully I didn't buy in).

#8
For a guy who's in the best 22 and has a very easy first few rounds vs a guy who's on the fringe (let's face it, North are a very good team) and a tough draw I know who I'd pick. He scored two 90's in preseason, one off 80% and one off 55% game time. He only needs 15-20 touches to get you 75-85 as SC rewards good disposal. McDonald seems to need 20-25 to even get 80 and I'm not sure whether he will get the perks or freedom as Webster will. I know he's only played 11 games but it's 11 more than McDonald and St Kilda are going through a rebuild so there's plenty of opportunity for spots and opportunity for points.

Plus there's no hype around him? There's only a select few who have faith or are looking at him. For all I know I could be completely wrong and he's a dud. But at this stage he's quite cheap and he's in.

Fair enough, sound logic so good luck. For me he's priced really awkwardly, but I can see your reasoning.

_wato

I think he's priced nicely. 50k more and you'd be exactly right.

I didn't realise Webster was so Cheap! Looks like another contender for my backs.

Doggoneit

Not sure Webster is worth picking over McDonald but is certainly worth considering instead of Suckers from a value point of view

And McVeigh is just a lock, while I will wait and see how the Blues side settles down before bringing in either Simpson or Walker
