As has been highlighted there is risk in this strategy - basically the amount of cash you are tying up on the bench. If you feel comfortable with it go for it but not for me.

Some facts to consider Sandi maintains his 100+ for four games his price goes up quite a bit enabling you to trade if he gets hurt.  Similar for Hmac and there are a few rucks that you can trade to if required.

You can use the extra cash to get and additional prem player somewhere.

There will be some rookie rucks available as well Currie is being played by North and I suspect given SWans issues Derrick will come in soon as well.

If however you want the three Rucks I would set it up Prem Berger or McEvoy based on your selection
Then Sandi
Then another cheaper ruck Hickey, Longer, McIntosh or West (who have not played yet),

Also may consider the likes of Ben Brown or Fraser Thurlow at R4 and using Hale, McKernan or Daw in forwards. (Dixon would also be considered if doing for Round 2).

1...a crazy idea.
2...I know it is
3...a lot of cash sitting on the bench
Edited some words out but they're still your words.
No need for elaboration.

Edited some letters out but they're still your letters. No need for context  ;)

If you're happy with your other lines I see no issue with 3 300k rucks. As soon as you brin in a premo then it's too much money to have on the bench, But if you have 3 of Hickey/Hampson/HMac/Sandi then you should be able to make a fair bit of cash from them and when the time comes, downgrading one ruck on the bench would afford you 2 upgrades in your prems stocks. Plus by that stage you'll have a much better gauge on who is going well this season.
People who write this idea off immediately because "too much money on the bench" are forgetting the long term: at this stage it looks like there will be zero rookie rucks playing. Maybe Currie but his JS is terrible. I'd rather take a small hit in the opening rounds by fielding a slightly weaker starting side and have someone on the bench who will actually make money. But having 2 dead weight rooks in the ruck you have 1 less cash cow in the team. What's the cost of that down the track when it comes to upgrades? Sandi/Hickey/Hampson could turn themselves into 2 prem rucks and some change by round 10, Whereas a Goldy/Sandi/deadweight combo would require some investment from another line to upgrade Sandi if needed...

I think sandi is in for a big year mysrlf and will be injury free.  Will average over 100 and play 18 gamnes

big call. He has only done that twice in his career (2009, 2010) banking on a 31+ year old to do it is risky

Hampson is the 3rd ruck you would want in this 3 man combo and Sandi/H-mac over Sandi-Hickey..if you were risking it you need the big cash generation incentive Hampson has played 1 game but Bully looks to be spot on...his taps to advantage make him a decent scorer.

having over 300k combined on the bench is pretty out there, having over 300k one one player is outright laughable
