What you guys reckon about Dal Santo? Could sneak in the top 10?

Wouldn't think so mate. Ziebell getting to full fitness and Swallow yet to come back, so points could be stolen yet. Wells also out injured atm. Those three mentioned plus Gibson, Cunnington, Bastinac, Harvey etc and I struggle to see where a 110 average will be maintained..

I was having a chat about Dal pre-season with my mate, the last two years he seemed to struggle in a poor side with the extra attention he received, he did have a good patch at the back end of last season where he averaged around 105, so for his starting price he would have been a good risk to take. I think we were trying to fit a spot into his starting midfield but he just didn't have the room with the Ablett/Pendles/Beams picks and the carnage it would have caused come byes.

The thing with Dal is in 2009, 2010, 2011, in good sides, he averaged north of 110 and pushed close to 120 in 2011, that was the year Hayes did his knee and BJ, Roo and Joey didn't average as highly as the previous season. Just because you have guys coming back doesn't mean that Dal's average will actually drop, it still might be on the improve because having Swallow/Wells there means that they can't afford to focus that attention on him allowing him to get off the leash. If North can perform better week to week once these guys come in and win a lot of games, there is no reason his average will drop under 110. He is the type of guy that has an influence on games because he uses the ball so well.

Hmm, I'll go:

(No Order)

Ablett
Pendles
Selwood
Griffen Joey
Rocky
Watson
Swan JPK/Fyfe/Murphy
StevieJ
Beams
Dangerfield

JPK, Cotchin, Murphy, Sloane, Fyfe, Libba, Barlow, Ziebell. That's not too say they aren't keep us, I don't think there will be much separating the guys from 5-20

Pretty happy with that so far.

Forgot JPK sorry, don't think Murphy will be top 10. Still a good player tho.

Honestly can't see Ablett, Pendlebury, Selwood and Johnson not being there. Throw in Beams, given everyone has him anyway.

That only leaves three spots, one of which I am very confident on Watson.

I see Rockliff and Fyfe as the next best, Fyfe's DE% was his downfall last year but he's had a great SC:DT ratio so far for his impact on games! And Rockliff, well we all know he's a jet when given the chance on ball, surely is a certainty to stay there now given Rich's absence.

The poll results show most people agree.

However, like others have said, the difference between 5-20 won't be very much at all. Your Libba, Beams, Griffen, Barlow, Sloane, JPKs etc. will all average 110-115 anyway, so if you can save $70k+ then just get them over your Johnsons who are just so highly priced. The only factors that will really split them is in terms of total points scored, because their averages will be so close, you just don't want your guy to miss any games!!

Where do you guys reckon Barlow will fit in?

Started the year very well, but has since scored a pair of 80s since returning from injury.

Could be an absolute steal a few weeks after his bye.

In terms of Averages I say.

Ablett
Pendles
Selwood
SJ
Beams
Montagna
Fyfe
Rocky
Libba
JPK.

In terms if Total Points.

Ablett
Pendles
Selwood
Beams
JPK
Libba
Ward
Watson.
They shouldn't miss games.

Joey, Fyfe and Rocky have all missed games already. So then there are three more who I don't know haha.

I wonder how many weeks into the season people will stop posting their top 10's.
