Starting price is $282,700 and is pretty much guarenteed the 1st ruck spot at St.Kilda, not the best scorer but has pulled out a ton or two in his time, is he worth it? im starting to think he is worth it along with sandi in the ruck, would free up a lot of cash to upgrade elsewhere.

Thoughts?

Too risky for me, I had toyed with the idea for a few seconds, haha.  Just think you won't be getting the consistency you need in your ruck departments going with a guy who isn't even close to proven and a guy who gets injured farely frequently over the last few years.

Spinking

Not going to be a traditional number 1 ruckmen. Reckon the Saints will play both Hickey and Longer, giving them relatively equal shares in the middle. Probably also both likely to be subbed out at times.

Never considered.

I'd go for a more established ruck with no competition for his spot.......

DT Gun

im gonna be the bloke who locks cox n laughs at the others who tried to be cheap n patch a ruck spot.

Why you would do anything else but get cox there is beyond me

GM

Heading down that road aswell.

Definitely not for round 2 onwards but I think he is a valid pick for round 1. Vsing Melbourne who have a weak ruck division, surely Hickey can get say 50 points. Hickey (50) over Cox (80-90) saves what 250k at the expense of say 30 or 40 points?

pommyadam

but will 250k really improve you by 40 points

DEF: Suckling->McVeigh
MID: Tyson->Cotchin
FWD: Higgins->Dangerfield

okay, I've cherry picked the cheaper quality players, but I'm not exactly convinced

me

the only problem with that theory is that cox is equally just as likely to get a big 120+

cox is actually a lock and even a captaincy option imo

Yep WA combo of Cox and Sandi all the way.

Cox doesn't exactly have an easy task, Minson is a quality ruckman. I wouldn't be suprised if Cox pulls out an 85

And you can be sure any other ruckman will pull out better?  I actually think Jacobs will pull out a big score against Geelong.  Cox is far more mobile than Minson and will get all his points on +6 marks and kicks all day long.

Hickeys a hot topic coz DT Talk mention him, haha... oh you guys ::)
