Everybody is talking about "upsetting" Dublin. About Dublin being top notch...

They might look okay on paper but they aren't shower until they put in some results.

Not sure id call a Cairo win over Dublin an upset,  they did finish only just outside the top four

Thank you both.

We missed out on 4th by percentage and that was without Beams for pretty much the whole season.  :P

shower a brick

didn't realise Robbie Warnock was playing. Would have been better than Cross imo.

I was so confused as was still doing my DT/AF/SC when I named this team, need to fix my team lists on my computer seeing as my XVs computer is dead. Life was easier witht hat computer.

M: R. Griffen (c), J. O'Meara, C. Ward, D. Heppell

i.e. first week
D: H. Shaw, N. Vlastuin
M: J. O'Meara, C. Ward
R:
F: D. Martin (vc), A. Monfries, T. Vickery
U:

Only doing the loophole because it works out, if Griff was this week I'd be backing him in as captain.

D: H. Shaw, L. Dunn, N. Vlastuin, J. Frawley
M: R. Griffen (c), J. O'Meara, C. Ward, D. Heppell
R: N. Naitanui
F: D. Martin (vc), A. Monfries, T. Vickery, J. Jenkins
U: T. Barrass, J. Simpkin

Emg: D. Ellard, D. Sheed, T. Lee

Barrass in for Sheed, who drops into the EMG, so we can cheat to get Ellard's score.

605/5 (captains played)

Not a bad start to the season.

CrowsFan

Ablett been my only good point so far. Hartlett was solid, but not spectacular, whilst Houli and Walker were poor.

Very impressed by Nick Haynes' stuff. Should be a very solid addition to the backline this year.

Captaincy loophole has failed me however with JPK putting a sub-par score along with his teams sub-par performance. Not sure who to turn to know. Daisy? Cooney? Maybe an outsider with Dom Tyson in his debut against a terrible Saints midfield? Hmmmm

Big oversight mate. I would have thrown the C on Cotchin and just have been happy with that.

Cooney for mine.

Sao Paulo Pumas (Captain played, 4/501)   v   Mexico City Suns (5/457)

Nothing spectacular from either team last night (Sao Paulo 2/153, Mexico City 2/177), with the Pumas still holding a slight edge. A lot will depend on the Mexico City Suns captain choice.

Moscow Spetsnaz (7/646) v   Toronto Wolves (Captain played, 8/667)

Disastrous 3/156 from Toronto have put them behind, despite only an average performance by Moscow also (1/76).

Berlin Brewers (5/387) v London Royals (9/658)

New Brewer Garlett disappointed (1/42), but is the famous Brewer defence striking again? London only managing 2/92.

Buenos Aires Armadillos (Both Co-Captains played, 5/605) v   Cape Town Cobras (6/459)

Buenos Aires one of the few teams holding to expectations! A strong 2/217 with centuries for Cornes and Schulz. Cape Town's 2/114 have put them well and truly behind the 8-ball.

New York Revolution (4/323)   v   Pacific Islanders (6/446)

0/0 for both last night.

Beijing Thunder (6/411)  v   Wellington Warriors (Captain played, 5/565)

A massive Oli Wines score helped, but Kreuz was down (2/214). Wellington's captain Murphy was solid (1/244, Capt played) still has the Warriors with a big edge.

PNL Reindeers (one Co-Captain played, 10/926)  v   Seoul Magpies (8/769)

Impressive night by the Reindeers (4/453, 1 Co-Capt Played) with centuries from Wingard, Simpson and Westhoff. Gibbs was sloid enough (1/99) to put the Magpies still slightly in front, but I'm not calling this one yet.

Dublin Destroyers (7/484)   v   Cairo Sands (Captain played, 6/771)

Very disappointing from VC Boak, offset by solid score by Gray (2/167), still leaves the Destroyers well behind Cairo (0/0).

New Delhi Tigers  (2/203) v   Tokyo Samurai (3/282)

0/0 for both last night.

Toga

Wines is a beast! Pity the rest of our team has done Jack shower so far.

Justin Bieber

After first 4 matches, PNL lead the scoring :P.

Nige

Hutch ruled out with a back injury.  :'(

Assuming I've done it correctly, we're currently 8/766 with Ellard's score. Not bad for the 82nd pick in the draft :P

Gus wasn't great, but acceptable. Hombsch with 91 entering senior consideration for next round.

Nails

I was considering drafting Ellard, but I only didn't draft him because I thought his lack of games were due to Mick hating him, not because he was injured ::)
