Wasnt aware that people were even second guessing this pick. He picks himself imo. Easily best 22

dmac07

Think he is definately best 22, but definately wont be a keeper.

I have him, but trying to find the guts not to start him as a POD, looking at running Pittard and Webster as my mid pricers down back instead.

Vinny

But why look for a POD when Suckers is likely to smash those guys and match them at worst?

colmullet

yeah i dont understand why you would spend extra coin on Pittard when he is less likely to average enough to keep as D6/7 come finals

Not an on field keeper but he is still worth keeping as D7. Handy bench cover when your team is complete

North Melbournes Finest

I'm not touching him.

- Injury concerns
- Vest concerns
- Slowly return to AFL form, scoring could start low
- Everyone has him, I'm trusting my own instincts that I'll find another player that has better value for $$.

WHO? I don't really want to pick him but as others have said at that price he picks himself. IF I could find a guy around 300K who will be better then sure.

Who is there? R.Shaw? Everitt? Yeo? Shoey? ??

ubeaut

U would have to spend another 100K to find someone with better scoring potential.

There is no pick that has better value for money to be honest. Not one that comes close in that price range IMO.

His upside destroys his downside making him a must. Plus the reasons I listed above.

My theory is that I only want to take a few mid pricers in and I think it's more important to get one in the fwd line with a serious lack of rookie options. Suckling will be good but he won't be a keeper and think Caddy and Higgins present more value. It all depends on structure and how you want to set your team up.

Im picking him to average low 80s, which would mean a profit of about 120k. Not enough to be a cow, to low to be a keeper. Agree there isnt much else of value. Webster for 70k less who COULD push a low 80s average, may not get there but potential to make closer to 200k.

No other pick in def that offers his value. But players in general, Thomas and Sandi priced similar and could see both players who could push a 100 average imo. Caddy who will be 80-90,  maybe closer to 90. I may end up with him, but still dont think he is a great pick.

RaisyDaisy

Suckers is exactly the same as Daisy for me

The only reason I am picking Suckers, and not Daisy, all comes down to rookies. Plenty of options over Daisy, barely any down back so Suckers has to play

+1

Suckers coming off a knee reco - most players struggle to get back to best immediately - 2011 was his best season averaging 90 - then dropped to 83 in 2012. IMO good possibility he only averages 75-80.

Holz

I think what has happened is everyone has had him locked soo long they are fiddling around with their teams for the sake of it.

My first picked defender and is locked unless something drastic happens.

Vinny

Yeah that's probably it, I've been doing the same.

Think I am pretty settled with mine though, hopefully. :P
