I have checked his first 6 avg and they are all over 105 or so.

If he starts off with an avg of 110 ill keep but if only 100 id downgrade before byes.

I think he will be in the 105-110 range. He is definently value for money and considering the blues don't travel til round 11 I think he will start on fire. I haven't got him but he could definently turn into a great pick.

colmullet

back to 110+ for murph this year, locked in at m3 for me

Ricochet

Don't get me started haha. Been the biggest backer of MMurphy all preseason. Jump on, he'll easily go back to 110+

Keeper27

110, maybe m5-7 by seasons end

Would save roughly 100k if I switch Jack to Murph.... Hmm could they average similar?

I don't really trust him to be honest. He's gone off the rails repeatedly in the last two seasons.
Fair enough getting injured and disappearing for a few weeks, but Murph seems to want to be a hero and play through them.
A run of 89/73/38 (2012), or random 50s and 70s (2013) can KO your season if you're relying on him.

Nice price for someone who has averaged 110 multiple times, but not that excited.

Agreed but you could do worse as a finished M8 choice

Think he will be borderline top 10 mids with an average of close to 110. Its a no for me as Ive gone for 3 premiums I think will top 5, plus beams. If beams wasnt there to be picked at the same price id be all over him though.

eaglesman

there is not a hope in this earth that murphy will be a top 10 mid

ablett swan pendles stevie j jelwood barlow fyfe libba beams cotch kennedy jack watson rocky ... will easily beat him and i could go on with more players

shaker

Been in my team since the start but have to admit there is some good cheap players who have put there hand up plus injuries are also starting to change my way of thinking only a 50/50 chance for me now

My thoughts too.

Depends on ur definition of a keeper. I vote 105 - 110. Which is good for the price I suppose. I had Fyfe who was a similar price and he was good value but was disappointed he wasn't 110+.

The benefit from Beams +Murph is that you pay around 200K less than other top mids to spend on other lines.

The downside is they will both be around 105-110. When u might have picked up 2 others that avg 115-120. And midfield is where most SC points come from. I know people rate Beams higher but I don't see the Pies winning as many games this year and Pendles and Swan compete for points.
