Mr.Craig

My call of Collingwood missing the 8 takes it's first step towards reality.

Soooo Badddd..what the hell happened? Tackling pressure was A grade in the first then it all fell to pieces, all they really had to do was man-up and keep tackling that would have at least reduced the damage, every Freo player moving through the middle after half time had an open paddock.

Round 1 Yips?

Ricochet

They've lost Shaw, Daisy, Williams, Johnson, Jolly and even Didak. And now are battling with injuries to Reid, White, Thomas, Seedsman. An inexperienced squad against a grand finalist from last year... it was always going to be messy I'm afraid

Marstar

Luck is the tool of the skillful and Collingwood lacked a bit of both. Collingwood looked sloppy, and Fremantle's class showed through.

The result should serve as a reality check for Collingwood (be it their fans or their squad or both). They are a long way off their best, and their rivals for Top8 can already smell blood.  They need to play like a Top4 team is they want to safely make the 8.

I think I heard Daisy, Jolly, Didak and Johnson only played like 10 games between them last year, not sure how accurate that is.

Anyway, kind of not surprised, especially without Reid or White. For some reason the Pies have recruited a lot of small people the last few years while a lot of other teams are going for well bigger people.

Disappointed with Walters 63, he just couldn't take a grab all night and was went missing in the first half. Could be worse, i could of had Cloke  :o

I counted at least half a dozen marks that went through his hands. He didn't have touch last night but at least he is getting to the ball and leading well. Once that touch comes I don't think you'll have any dramas. He is dangerous in that freo forward line.

Danzac

Collingwood were a rabble last night, inexperience or no inexperience.
At times they were 2013 Melbourne-esque, with Freo cantering up an empty paddock

frenzy

this is what you get when you re-sign your coach before his contract expires....Norf did the same 2013 and were woeful
would rather see the coach fight tooth and nail to get re-signed during the season...Kevin Sheedy was a master at it.
