How many starting midfield rookies should we have

People are neglecting the importance of having a stepping stone in the mids.  A fit Daisy only requires one sideways trade to bring in a fallen ultra-premium (top 10).  Don't discount the Malthouse effect either.

I've had 4 for the last couple of weeks but now back into 3 with Daisy.  That being said, if I needed the money elsewhere he'd probably be first on the chopping block.

I think im in the same boat as Batt my team looks solid but if I had to get money Daisy to Tyson would be the first trade

I'm fielding 5 rookies + Rohan who is rookie priced. Don't really see how that is extreme though. The less rookies you're fielding, the more mid-pricers you have, the less keepers you have.

My current, and unless something drastic happens, my starting midfield is :-
Gazza,   Libba,   Cotch,   Beamer (D)  , J Martin,   D Tyson,    J Polec,  V michie,   X Ellis    and    L Dunstan.
To me Pendles is an after bye upgrade target, unless he sets himself on fire early, and I'm a little concerned to see how or if the captaincy affects him. I think all the above rookies will play round 1  and should have good JS. All the best guys and gals ( are there any gals in this forum ?? )  Cheers    :) ;)

My biggest concern at the moment is that I am worried about that m10 position

i can not see a single cheap rookie mid who will be playing which means need 70k to go from crouch to aish ... we need that cash generation through the mids

My only worry about a single sideways Daisy to fallen gun is the quality of the gun you'll be getting.

Last year Mundy and Priddis were good and cheap but never really got enough points to give me a chubby.

Colley Dogs

For the entire pre-season I've had 3 starting Rookies + Daisy.

Yesterday, however, I flipped. But rather than downgrade Daisy, by opting for a Suckling-Webster-McDonald set-up at D4--D5-D6, I've upgraded him to Murphy.

Midfield currently:

Ablett, Pendlebury, Liberatore, Murphy, Beams, Tyson, Michie, Polec (Dunstan, Langdon).

Over capitalizing? Maybe. But if Murphy returns to 110+ I could very possibly have 5 keepers in my mids. And I think Murphy is less of an 'if' than Daisy.

I am starting to consider Aish over Tyson

Michie, Polec, Ellis and Dunstan are locked, but I would most likely take Crouch if he is named for M10 due to B/E and price, but if I decide to go with a 4 prem mid then its Tyson vs Aish for M5, which one?

I could make one of them M5 and then upgrade Crouch to the other, but I feel like Dunstan and Ellis on bench might be a tad too much $$

Tyson has much better JS then Aish and has more AFL experience

Aish will likely be dropped after an off game

im considering Aish over Tyson just to break up the Tyson/Michie partnership.. 30 odd k could be useful too
