With so many strong and high scoring rookies in the Mids this year, and limited elsewhere, 4 on the field is vital IMO (6 in total)

Tyson, Michie, Polec, Ellis and Dunston should be locked and then the last spot can be used for DPP (Langdon), Aish or a cheaper rookie like Crouch, Cunnners and Buckley.

For me I think it depends how many viable rookies are named in the other positions for round 1. If not many are named then you may need to go 4 starting mid rookies and load up the other areas with stronger players. Otherwise if you can get a good team with 3 starting then go with that :)

does that mean I should downgrade Thomas to say Tyson or should I downgrade one of my premiums?

cotch9

I currently have 4 on field just dropped Thomas for Tyson

If you have 6 mid rookies then the other 4 need to be top premiums IMO (I'm running Ablett, Pendles, Jobe and Beams) So drop Thomas, not even sure his ankle will hold up.

This.

Thomas not a keeper and the extra points he might score over one of these guys will be recovered elsewhere.

May even save a trade elsewhere.

Ive had Beams at M4, followed by Tyson, Michie, Polec, Ellis (Dunstan, Crouch) for ages, but now I am looking to play a rookie at D6 which allows me to upgrade Tyson to a premo, meaning I will only be fielding 3 rookies in the mids

Tyson and Aish are the two mid rookies I miss out on this way, and miss out on their cash generation, but with them being priced quite high, I expect them to make about 200k or so profit each, and although my def rookie might only make 150k profit or so, I still think it works out better for me long term due the def rookie being a cheaper investment to begin with

Anthonyyyy

my team is currently Ablett, Pendles, Libba, Beams, Thomas, Polec, Ellis, Dunsten (crouch and Cunningham)

should I go Thomas to Tyson ?

I would say yes, but only if you can use that 100k to improve someone else

Daisy should average more then Tyson, but I am not starting him because I am using the 100k elsewhere

Yes i would, but more of a worry for you is Crouch and Cunners at M9/10, as its very unlikely both will play round 1 and if they do they won't be regulars. Try and get at least 1 to Aish/Michie.

3 so far, 4 is too many. sure you MAY get extra coin from em if they fire.

Current MIDS
Ablett, Rocky, Libba, Beams, Macrae, Tyson, Michie, Polec (Ellis, Dunsten)
enough rookies to make some decent coin, all look likely to start Rnd 1.
solid premo's (would liek to fit Pendles in but cant), me Mid Pricer is tearing it up and looks to be in best 22.

im happy with 3 rookies on field.

Anthonyyyy

Would it be worth the downgrade is I could get Lobbe to which ever ruckmen I want?

Ive been told other wise all though I think when Belly is out he will average 110ish and then I can see how the other rucks are traveling then either keep him or od a trade!
