Def: S. Mitchell, K. Simpson, N. Malceski, M. Suckling, J. Webster, L. McDonald (Langford, Langdon)
Mid: G. Ablett, S. Pendlebury, R. Sloane, D. Beams, D. Tyson, J. Kelly, V. Michie, J. Polec (L. Dunstan, H. Cunnington)
Ruc: B. McEvoy, A. Sandilands (T. Derickx, M. King)
Fwd: P. Dangerfield, D. Martin, C. Wingard, J. Elliott, M. Wright, B. Kennedy (J. Kennedy-Harris, Z. Merritt)
Cash: $14,700

NB: Not particularly bye friendly for round 8, but I like the balance. My structure is 11 Premiums + Sandi, 3 Mid-Pricers, 2 Bargains, 5 starting rookies, and 8 bench rookies.

I would like to turn King into Thurlow, but am $2k short. Derickx may turn into Thurlow depending on round 1 selections.  Also considering Impey over Merritt, given comments made today by Hinkey and reports of how he played in todays practice match.

Is Malceski a Keeper? reckon there are better options there such as Hurn/Houli

all 4 premo mids have round 8 bye- Watson/Rocky/Griffen/Libba/JPK list goes on who are better than Sloane. No Polec? best performed rookie mid in NAB challenge and praccy matches. Cunningham not Cunnington will be sub if he plays round one.

Much better options than McEvoy

Premo short in forwards: prefer Caddy to Elliott, not a fan of Wright- will be tagging once season proper starts and was poor in the praccy game yesterday against GWS. Merrett will be sub if he plays round one.

Polec is M8.

Hmmm Elliot seems like a pretty risk pick and I wouldn't think he has a huge upside

Kelly for Ellis or Aish  - No doubt Kelly looks good, but with Treloar etc, and the fact they lose and don't get as much points I would go Aish or Ellis

Braindead... of course Polec is there. not keen on Kelly- talented obviously but is there a spot there consistently in the GWS midfield. Ellis or Aish as RaisyDaisy said are better options.

Thanks for the feedback guys.  I'm still tinkering and have traded:

Kelly to Ellis
Simpson to McVeigh
Malceski to Hurn
King to Thurlow

A couple of things. I would like to turn Ellis into Aish, but not sure how. If I trade Derickx to King I could, but Thurlow to King leaves me just short. Also, I'm a little worried that my team has become too cookie cutter now. Would love some feedback if anyone can help me it would be much appreciated.

Firstly, Malceski is a good pick. Don't stress because everyone has Hurn.Your 4 premo mids have the bye at the same time. Maybe change up?like the Josh Kelly choice.Rucks good, considering McEvoy as Hawks will win most games and should have the most ruck time of the Hawks big men.Fwds? Chad quite expensive, Roughy seems the form man.Jamie Elliott is a risk, will he get much mid time to improve numbers? I doubt it..Matty Wright doesn't interest me. Kennedy is up in the air. A lot of Rd 8 byes in the FWDs as well..

Thanks for the feedback mate.  Elliott does look like he'll get more midfield time.  He's definitely built his engine in the pre-season, and they have been using him in the midfield in the NAB which have resulted in much better scores.  No doubt he's a risk though.  Wright has definitely turned it on in the pre-season, but he could become a little bit like Zorko/Karnezis last year if he goes back to the tagging role, but with the injuries/departures Adelaide has had in their midfield, he's definitely put his hand up for one of the openings.  Kennedy too looks to have built his engine, and has scored some midfield time in the pre-season, which should help his scores.

Still I may chicken out on at least one of them before the opening bounce.
