What's the deal with Fraser Thurlow?

Has he been elevated yet? If not, any murmours that he will in fact play round 1? I still can't help but think that there's a big elephant in the room, and that happens to be R3. Derickx doesn't fill me with confidence either, could be a mad scramble to get a decent back-up methinks.

Can't see us making Daniher Ruck and be 1 of 2 skinny talls as well. Maybe Hooker or someone could ruck but Thurlow looks the goods and should get a few games at least early.

Chances are I'm way off here, but I just have no interest in the kid - seriously cannot see him getting more than 2 games, and then sitting on the bench all year doing nothing. Dericx and Currie are the ones to pick, or King if you want R4 to loophole

We won't risk using Daniher in the ruck- the kid doesn't have the body yet. The only other alternative is Hooker which would be terrible for our defensive structure. Bellchambers however is ahead of schedule and can only see Thurlow playing at the most the first 5 rounds however there aren't many other rookie ruck options available are there? Have to pick him at R3/R4.

I am considering a third cheap ruck like Hampson..If i don't see any of the rookies mentioned playing much,might hopefully make me a slow 100k and provide cover for Sandilands...i know its risky having that money on the bench but...see how things turn out

Yeah I just don't get that. Why spend 330k on Hampson, then another 300k or so on Hickey, just get a premo R1 for the same amount

Cash generation and loopholing would be the main reason (not to mention saving trades in the event of injury).
