Hi Guys & Gals

Can you please help me with my team below how can i improve it with with only $3200 left

Def: Mcveigh Mitchell Hurn Swallow Suckling Mcdonald (Langford Georgiou)
Mids Ablett, Pendlebury, Kennedy, Beams, Thomas, Michie, Sheed, Polec  ( Ellis Crouch)
Rucks Mcintosh Sandilands ( Thurlow, Derickx)
Fwds: Dangerfield,Martin,Franklin, Caddy,Hawkins ,Higgins ( Kennedy- Harris, Honey Church

I know this team has a few weaknesses but can you all help.

GoLions

McVeigh I feel is overpriced, so someone like Simpson or Birchall could be better picks. Not convinced that Swallow will be a keeper, and at 425k or whatever he is at, he's not going to make a lot of cash either. If you think he can be a keeper though, stick with him. 8/10
Not sure if JPK can get back above that 110+ average, will be a good pick if he does though. Would prefer Libba or Sloane or Cotchin at a similar price, probably Libba due to the byes. Would prefer Dunstan over Sheed. 8.5/10
Personally, I can't see myself having 2 non-premium rucks in my team, so not sure on HMac and Sandi both in there, just the one would be fine though. 6/10
Solid choices here, maybe a bit too strong though. Don't really like Hawkins. If you went Hawkins to Rohan, that would free up some cash to swap HMac to a premium ruck. 9/10

Pretty good overall, I'd give it a 31.5/40. Hawkins to Rohan, HMac to a premium ruck, McVeigh to a cheaper (but still premium) defender, and JPK to Libba would make it much better IMO. Good luck  :)

Hurn averaged about 95 unsubbed last year - Very Good
Swallow potential breakout candidate, definitely shouldn't lose any cash - Fairly good
JPK averaged 120 in 2012, could possibly get back to that (or at least improve on last year) - Fairly good --> Very good
Sheed is a rookie who will make you cash - Good (although would still prefer Dunstan)
HMac would be fine if he was the only midpricer
Buddy is low risk as he is in a lot of teams, averaged 107, 110, 115 in 2010, 2011, 2012 respectively - Good
Hawkins I agree is a poor pick
Higgins has good scoring potential and is extremely cheap and can be a good stepping stone to a fallen premium - Risky but very good if he lasts until the byes

So basically, you're at least 75% idiot

Don't listen to cuz_crew- see comment above.

Def: I agree to a point about McVeigh however he could tear it up in round one vs GWS and a fast start is what we are looking for- worth the risk at his price- Unsure whether Swallow is a keeper- don't see a spot in the mids at Gold Coast for him- maybe look at McVeigh -> Simpson and Swallow -> Keeper?. Rookies fine for now 8/10

Mid:  I have JPK in my side for now but at M4. Think there are better options such as Rocky/Cotchin/Watson who IMO will average above him at the end of the season. Would prefer one of Sheed/Ellis to become Dunstan- still very strong 8.5/10

Rucls: Risky here but strengthens other areas. Would like to see Hmac become a premo- think he will play more forward early in the season and occasionally give Simpson rest by going into the ruck- Rookies likely to play round one 6/10

Fwd: I like what I have seen from Hawkins however I would not pick him, Caddy and Higgins in the same side. Think Hawkins should be downgraded to Rohan. Honeychurch unlikely to play round one. Impey played well in the praccy match for Port today and will probably play round one. McCarthy from Geelong looks like he will get a gig in round one as well 8.5/10

Strong base with a few tweaks will improve your side before round one 31/40

mate.. to be good at supercoach you need to live in reality.

you cant speculate that someone might be good because they were once or potentially could be.

im not trolling. He asked what he can do to improve and I have helped him rather than just being nice and saying his team is ok.

dont be soft

Not sure which is the better team have $11400 left

Jmachete

JPK always starts the season strong and always dies in the arse toward the tail end.

JMATSA

Don't rule out JPK, he'll be back to his best this season as last season he had a lingering groin injury that is gone now. Check out this article

I have updated my team to look like this i might have weakened it slightly.

Def: Mitchell,Hanley,Enright,Hurn,Suckling, Mcdonald (  Langford,Langdon)
Mids Ablett,Pendles,Murphy,Beams,Macrae,Michie,Polec,Ellis (Dunstan,Crouch)
Rucks Mcevoy,Sandilands
Fwds Dangerfield,Martin,Franklin,Caddy,Higgins,Rohan ( JKH,Impey)

Who shall i leave out and who to bring in
I wanted to have Beams at M5 but i can't find a way of doing that unless i weaken my defence

$55800 Salary

Can any one give me any advice as i still haven't had a reply on the team i posted yesterday

TheViper

Mate, good side overall mate, not the best but certainly not the worst. The only i can see is that your side is similar to alot of other sides in this forum. Very cookie-cutter team, if you know what i mean.

Def: Solid, dont like Hanley or hurn personally. Better option imo. Suckling at D5 is risky, i see him starting off slowly. Mcdonald at D6 is also risky for me. But everyone has their own perferences. 7.5/10

Mid: Murph at M3 is risky for me, hasnt shown much in the preseason and i personally dont think he can reach the same heights he has reached before. Macrae, mehhhh??? I can see him doing alright but not as well as he was in the preseason. 8/10

Rucks: I have mcevoy also, but might change that up. He has always frustrated me, but there really are no solid options at premium prices. 7.5/10

for: Buddy, only problem cant see him doing anything special. always been too inconsistent for my liking, and finally had the balls to not go with him. 7.5/10

Rate 30.5/40

As i said not the worst but not the best either. You really have to find a way to split yourself from the pack. Maybe 1 or 2 changes imo. But i wont tell you who, thats up to you to decide.
