G'day all. First post of the year. Supercoach is back for another year. Happy days.  Just wondering peoples thoughts on Petrie asF2. Danger is my lock in a f1, like most. Haven't seen Petrie in many teams. I know he has quite a heavy price tag, but if he can have a year like last.
Thoughts?

Should go similar or slightly higher. expect North to win a few extra games

I think Petrie is a viable pick just whether he can keep his scores up! This year there could be better value else where however with so any underpriced forward! All in all good POD

Tossing up grabbing him at F2, North should improve this year and he's looking as good as ever, plus unlike other big forwards if you look at his scores last year he can still post a decent score if not smashing the scoreboard

Good player who would be a nice POD, but very unfriendly bye structure. If your bye set up is OK with him in I'd go for it. I work my bye structure out by counting only the players I want to have come bye time    8)

HotTiges

tempting but he is getting on. as mentioned you probably don't want Dangers, Martin and Petrie as your 1st 3 FWDS..

I think he will be a top 6 forward, but as a KPP he's likely to drop in price after 1 or 2 stinkers, and that's when I plan on picking him up :)

Peach is viable option. Will be very unique too I would imagine

That's part of the attraction,I keep looking at North's draw and seeing 3 games vs Sydney/Collingwood/Freo ,Away games R4-5-6 & reckon that's when he might drop a bit, perfect upgrade after his bye i think, have toyed with starting him but can't take Danger,Martin & another R8 premo.

Drew is a perfect upgrade target, just after the byes, and after he drops a bit in price

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm thinking the whole jump on after bye week is a good idea.

I disagree I just looked at his scores from last year and if he doesn't kick any goals or even jags 1 he scores around 70-80 cant have that as an F2

Mate,70-80 sc for a fwd on a bad day isn't bad at all when his good days and 4+ goals mean 140 sc points
