There are a million threads about rucks on here so I won't bore everyone with the same repetitive stuff but who do you think will be the highest scoring ruck out of the following three options:

  • Kreuzer - averaged the highest out of all 3 last year
  • Lobbe - has the potential to step up his game this year
  • Ryder - will prosper in the absence of Belly

The question is who will be the best ruck for the whole season? Sure ryder may gun it early, but can he maintain it the whole season? Can Lobbe jump up and improve his game? Will Kreuz stay on the park or will his knees go twang?

Things that make you go hmmmmm

Ryder imo has biggest potential ceiling. Attitude issues tho and belly back for anzac day.

Kreuzer will probably avg most come years end.  Massive talent.

Lobbe showed what he can do but consistency comes with time. I think he needs another year.

Very good points mate.

In saying that will Kreuz keep a fit body, play in the ruck & up forward. With the absence of hampson will this play any affect in the position thus scores Matty K will produce during the year?

Lobbe should do well with Redden injured
Ryder should kill it with Belly injured

However, when these guys come back from injury, I think their scores will drop and you may be stuck with sub-par scores from your ruck department at the end of the year

Kreuzer I dunno, if his body holds up, should be a good pick for the entire year

Bully

With the new ruck rules limiting the amount of wrestling I think the guys who rely on athleticism rather than strength will prosper. The big leapers such as Naitanui, Leuenberger, Ryder and Hampson should all be on the radar (all other factors considered).

Good thoughts Bully, I have Leuey and Sandi with a view to Sandi becoming Nicnat at some stage.   :)
