Just a reminder in this competition HGA is the lowest score of players on the field is taken and not doubled. Refer rule 7.7
It doesn't make any sense, unless I'm reading it wrong...

7.7 The team playing at home will have the advantage of having the score of the lowest scoring player added to total score as home ground advantage.
Having the lowest scoring player's score added to the total score is basically doubling it?
Again a matter of interpretation.  I add the HGA separately in my spreadsheets hence why I say only add the lowest score but you are right effectively doubling the lowest score as well.

I didn't even realise it could be interpreted any other way, because the way it reads to me says that the player's score isn't doubled, but added afterwards... which really is the same thing. But yeah, glad that got cleared up.  :)

After first half of split round here is how we stand. * after score indicates Captain has played.

Badgers 938/7* v Staines Steins 486/6 (Jack as Capt a late out hurting here VC yet to play)
Badgers will win this one
Falcons (No team lodged) v Magic 555/6
Magic may win this should Falcons Team not be lodged this week.
Werewolves 909/6* v Rams 703/5*
Werewolves looking good here
Leeds Leeches 665/6* v Crosby Cruisers 665/9*
Leeches holding the upper hand here
Bunnies 667/5* v Hawks 514/5
Will be close with a lot depending on performance of Steve Johnson as captain for Hawks. HGA may get Bunnies home
Giants 721/7* v Hurricanes 882/9
Hurricanes slightly favoured here with Captain Dangerfield still to play
Owls 512/5 v Swaggers 631/5*
This one could go either way. Maybe Owls with HGA may sneak home
Dragons 542/5* v  Hedgehogs 884/9
With captain, Scott Selwood, still to play Hedgehogs favoured here.
Breakers 262/4 v 672/7
Another that will be close and may come down to the Captains performances.

Best of luck to all teams in second half of split round.

Players in 2nd week teams can be changed up until bounce of Cats v Crows game Thursday 20th March.

If changing please quote original thread and change as I will only be looking below this post for changes.

How does percentage work in this case Ringo?

Trust Oss to ask the difficult question.  I have PM'd spinking on a couple of occassions asking him to lodge teams excluding players that have already been played,  Will do again for this week and hoping he does so % will take care of itself.  We had similar case last year with teams not being lodged by a team but at least in that case original team was lodged.

Not sure what I will do if Teams not lodged as we have no rules atm to cover.

Shouldn't the first 15 players from the team list be taken?  ???

This correct but as per rules only 1/4 points will apply really skewing %.  Will only apply if Spink does not lodge supplementary team this week.  If anyone has real contact with Spinking maybe a gentle approach to him warranted

How about the first 15 players count at full points on his preference list (well, the first 15 that fill positions)

But the Falcons receive no points?

So if Falcons defeat the Magic, they both get 0 points.

But if the Magic defeat the Falcons, they get 4 points?

Thanks Oss That is what I was thinking for the % calculation. But then was thinking if the 15 actually defeat the Magic then Magics % will be effected.  Think I may still go that way but if we have an issue with % deciding positions ar eoy may revisit.
