Round 1 is just about upon us so starting the team lodgement threads - For those new coaches a new thread will be established each week and you lodge teams in this thread each week. Lodgement thread will be stickied each week.

Round 1 (Round 1 AFL: March 14th to March 23rd)
1. Bradford Badgers v Steins Steins (@ Badger Village
2. Newcastle Falcons v Manchester Magic @ Chester-le-street Oval
3. Winchester Werewolves v Liverpool Rams @ The Rose Bowl
4. Leeds Leeches v Crosby Cruisers @ Elland Road Stadium
5. Blackpool Bunnies v Huddersfield Hawks @ Bloomfield Road
6. Grope Lane Giants v Hastings Hurricanes @ Giant Stadium
7. Oxford Owls v Swindon Swaggers @ Incheon Stadium
8. Birmingam Dragons v Hebden Bridge Hedgehogs @ St Andrew's Stadium
9. Swansea Breakers v Nottingham Hoods @ Swalec Stadium

Teams are to be lodged in this format as per rules:
Backs: *** , *** , *** , ***  - Four starting backs
Mids: ***, ***, ***, ***  - Four starting mids
Ruck: ***  - One starting ruck
Forwards: ***, ***, ***, ***  - Four starting forwards
Utilities: ***, ***  - Two starting utilities (These can be players from any position)
Emergencies: ***, ***, ***  - Four emergencies (One for each Line but if OOP is used half points will apply if used) One of the emergencies to be nominated as sub,
Captain: Double points
Vice - Captain: Score doubled if Captain does not play.
Emergency Vice Captain Score doubled if Captain or Vice Captain do not play. (Should not occur very often but with no rolling lock out may be a possibility)

Teams for Round 1 to be lodged in this thread before 1st Bounce Pies v Dockers Friday 14th March
and with Partial lock out Teams with changes for second week to be lodged by bounce Cats v Crows game Thursday

If Teams are not lodged I will use the preference list provided but as per rules all p[layers will only score quarter points so it is in your interest to ensure a team is lodged before teams locked next Friday.

Note Vinny, Jukes and Spinking still have to confirm their final team lists in the 2014 team list thread. (Vinny you have still not amended fro your duplicate player).

Also it will pay you to familiarise yourself with the sub rule in the rules.

As we have reverted to Sportal Bonus points for lodging team scores will be continued.

Best of luck to all as we start the new season

Isn't Round 1 done over like two weeks though?

All teams won't be named by bounce of Pies vs Freo will they?  ???

LF

Yeah they won`t name all teams in the first week

Ringo

Correct all teams have to be named by first bounce.  You have 4 emergencies one of which is a sub to allow for this.  Closes the loophole which some of you wanted exploit regarding subs,  If you do not have a full team playing in second week rule 7.4g will be invoked which was the reason prioritised lists were required.

Will make for some interesting strategies for round 1 and other rounds over 2 weeks.

Nige

I'll be honest, I reckon that's pretty shower. Especially for weaker teams like my own who sometimes have to field fringe players.

Ringo

To be fair it has been in the rules since January so there has been opportunity to discuss and I have mentioned it on a few occassions as well but no discussion took place and now a bit late to change.

Dragons are in a bit of strife in the ruck department Belly injured and Clarke unlikely to return in time really hoping Thurlow gets elevated and plays  :-X

The only time I remember talking about this was because we couldn't run with the sportal scoring, so the non rolling lockout was to make your life easier for score calculations? Since we are now running with the same scoring as last year shouldn't the lockout rule remain?

thought the non rolling lockout rule was something to do with the new sub rule

Ringo

Despite numerous threads in a few posts about no Rlolling lockouts it appears not all coaches have noticed this.It was brought in as a result of sub rule and 4 emergencies.  So after consideration have decided to allow 2 Partial lockouts for the season. There will be no partial lock outs for byes.

Round 1 Collingwood, Freemantle, Gws, Sydney. carlton and Port Players will be locked at bounce of Pies Freo game on Friday 14th March with remaining team players locked out at bounce of Geelong Adelaide game next Thursday 20th March.

Round 18 Carlton, North Melbourne, St Kilda. Fremantle, GWS, Geelong, Port, Melbourne, Bulldogs and Essendon plyaers will be locked at bounce of Carlton and North Melbourne Game Friday July 18th with remaining team players locked at bounce of West Coast and Richmond game on 25th July.

Think this is now fair to have the 2 partial lock outs for over the 2 split rounds.

SydneyRox
