Swans are talking up Cunningham. He had some really good performances late last year in the finals which is not represented in his SC value for 2014. Jack seems the likely green vest as he is only in his 2nd season and Cunningham is 21 this year and the perfect POD.

Is anyone else considering this as a midfield bench option?

I've had him in most of the pre-season but didn't really want a 4/0/6 midfield so took him out for Daisy, feel a alot more comfortable with a 4/1/5 setup. Kid is a gun though and wish I had room for him!

Are you talking about Nth's Cunningham or Syd's?

Come on ben,

You know Cunningham from North Melbourne Swans.  ::)

Especially at 123k....!!

Should be good for Round 1, but like Towers.. fighting for position and maybe the Vest man till some injuries..?

Considering him as my mid is pretty set aside from m10. Currently have buckley over cunningham but could easily change,

colmullet

have him at m10 at the moment, just hoping he can shake the vest, kids of gun though

The Swans wont play rookies just cause they are playing the Ginats R1. The only person that i can see playing is Derrickx as the 2nd ruck. I dont think Cunners or Towers will play unless parker misses out with his eye injury

Really? If not to give young blokes games against the bottom teams in which your team will thrash then when?..against top 4 contenders starting R1..that is crazy talk...much more likely to get named vs your GWS & St Kilda's than if Sydney were playing Hawthorn Fremantle and North Melbourne in the first 3 rounds..

Well who did we debut last year? Rampe (mature age rookie, gun) Titch (In the squad for a few years, elite gun!), then people like XRichards, BoJack, Biggs. Then look at our injury list last year.

Swans don't give spots to rookies unless they've bloody well earned it. Cunners would be juuuust missing out on a spot I reckon. But if there's an injury in the mids, he'll probably be the first guy they turn to.

Why on earth would they be resting players and giving 'young blokes games' in the first round??? That is just a ridiculous thought
