Crazy thought... No Danger in Fwd line

Is this a suicidal thought?

I have every intention of having him but if we agree that he won't necessarily appreciate in price (Probably slip back a bit if anything), and given the lack of fwd rookies (Rohan looking one of the better options and he won't score much more than 60's), then are we better off loading up on the likes of Zorko, Caddy, etc?

Current fwd line without Danger looks like this:

Dustbin, Zorko, Titch, Caddy, Wright, Pav, (Merret, JKH).

Have had similar thoughts with both Danger and Dusty but I don't think it very likely that you can improve either your points or cash accumulation by not having them. Danger is currently in 59% and Dusty 34% of teams so you don't really want them lining up against you either.  I'm keeping both as IMO both are definite keepers. Cheers mate.    ;)

I've considered it. It will be tough for him to keep his price, meaning you will probably able to get him in cheaper at his "low point" at some stage.

The reason I probably won't do it though is I'm really not convinced with any of the other forwards other than Martin, which is why I still haven't finalised my F3 & F4 ;) :-\

There are two definite locks in the forward line and they are Danger and Dusty. And you want to leave one out and chuck in a heap of mid pricers. I'll guarantee you you may get 1/10 or less mid pricers will become premiums. It's not worth it, don't do it!

I just want players that can go big in the forwards and Danger is one of those players

Current fwd line without Danger looks like this:

Dustbin, Zorko, Titch, Caddy, Wright, Pav, (Merret, JKH).
Dusty - Should average 100+
Zorko - Won't average 100
Mitchell - Most likely won't average 100
Pav - Will push for 100, but probably 95
Caddy and Wright obviously stepping stones

Dangerfield - IS A 152% CERTAINTY OF AVERAGING 100+ (barring injury of course)

I can't imagine not having the biggest lock in the forward line out of my team. Apart from Danger and Dusty, I am so uncertain on which other forwards will be in the top 6 or so, and having Danger there takes away some of the stress.

When do you expect to bring him in? From round 4 til the byes he has Saints, GWS, Bulldogs and Melbourne. He then has GC in the second game after the byes who he averages 127 against. There is a very good chance that he will sky rocket in price leading up the the byes and won't start dropping in price until round 13 or 14. And even then he has Port in round 15 and GWS in round 16.

Start with him man.

Suicide, could maybe see to leaving martin out, but not danger.

Some very valid points.  Food for thought.

I do remember a couple of years ago the winner started without Goddard when he was a back.  EVERYONE had Goddard but him.

Good way to fall off the pace in overall.

With Adelaide's big man injuries, the thought is entering my mind too. I can see Danger playing down forward for a while.

This is a very good point. No Lynch for a coupla months, no Tex for god knows how long. This leaves Pods, Jenkins and Johnston as their only key forwards. Not exactly Roughy and Buddy.

Could dangerman do what he did a few years ago, and pinch hit as a key forward? Hope his SC scores- I hope not, but it seems like it could be a real possibility at this stage.

Half rethinking his lockability now....

Dont forget Betts, will play permanant fwd and can kick 40 goals, hopefully lessening the need for Danger to play fwd.
