A couple of months ago every man and his dog was starting without Ablett but as happens every year they all slot him back in before round 1 lol. Too big of a risk not to start him
Guilty  ::)

Well I'm currently rocking a beard that would suit that name. Don't think I could give up the pork though! ;D

Think initially in early teams we trial no Ablett but then when we analyse the team closer to start of the season common sense takes over and Ablett is back in.

Atm also toying with the idea of replacing Pendles mainly due to the fact that Gazz, Pendles and Beams have Round 8 bye.

age and a developing GC side are givng me the gut feeling that he wont be worth it
each year he suffers a 100-200k drop cause hes prices so high. im going for league wins so picking ablett from the start is not a sound investment

If your league is crap, then start without him.

A really competitive league will require good scores from the outset to make the finals.

I cannot see how you can possibly make up the points on offer for your captain by avoiding the best SC player.

I have never seen him drop 200k in price. He's priced so high because he scores so flowering high. If you're going for league then you potentially miss out on early wins when your opponent has Ablett getting 300+ as captain and you have someone else only getting you 250

Anyone know why Gaz has the injury cross next to him?

Burnt his hand I think? Shouldn't be too serious.

I wish everyone was all "yeah I'm not starting Ablett he's expensive and will come down in price and there are lots of good mids at GC and he will spend more time forward" like they were a few months ago. Was looking like a semi POD!

Never seriously considered leaving him out.

need 130k to go full premium up forward ... take a POD risk that ablett and pendles will fall in price and pick em up 60k each cheaper when the abundance in mid rookies price rise .

of course i dont think i will do it but considering

But what's full premium forward line? From my perspective there's Danger & Martin, then daylight. I won't pick a KP player over 500k, and I'm finding it really hard to justify picking Parker over Caddy given the price difference.

For what it's worth, I've just brought in Pendles for the first time in over a month. I think the Doc has infiltrated by brain with all his tricky number crunching. This is my final dilemma, Parker & Cotch versus Pendlebury & Caddy. I'm torn, I really believe Cotch is in for a huge season yet leaving out Pendles comes with it's own risks.

Out of the above combos, who stands the best chance to bring home the bacon?

i am torn between 2 players ... roughead and pendles ... if i pick pendles no roughead no pendles i pick roughy ...

i like petrie also

and for the fear of being publicly battered for ever i am not even going to mention the other 500k+ player I am considering yet again
