Should both score well this season but I would choose Rockliff as he will be a pure mid this year. When Voss finally played Rocky in the guts last year for the final 9 rounds of the season he averaged a touch over 128.

Ross Lyon has already said that Fyfe will spend time up forward this year and Fyfey doesn't mind butchering the ball on a regular occasion.

I reckon Rockliff will average around about 5 points more than Fyfe per game this year.

i shall pick up rocky later(if he does something) probably but the lions have a horrid draw to kick off so do not see the appeal with rocky early

Mids don't generally need to play in a winning team to score well. Early horror draws usually affect the forward line players only.

The most important thing to look for with regards to the mids is their opposition and whether there is a hard tagger. Luckily for Rockliff, his mate Rich will always cop the tag.

Josh P Kennedy will out score them both !

Fyfe to win. Brisbane will get annihilated early.

(And late. And in-between times. And when they take their bye.)

i would choose rocky over fyfe however my argument against rockliff would be that yes he scored very well in the midfield at the end of last year but of the last 8 games, 5/8 games Brisbane won, Brisbane will not win most games this year. Some would argue non-forwards  can score well in loosing teams but rock's averages according to my calculations are 131.6 from the last 8 games, in the 5 wins from those games 139.8 as opposed to 118 in the 3 loses from those 8 games. in 2014 Brisbane have a tough draw and i cannot see them winning many games, especially early.

Brisbane aren't that bad.

Rockliff. Will score well as will be playing midfield and won't be tagged. My M3.

I will happily take a 118 average from Rocky over the first few rounds!

Love the no love for Brisbane - Just remember the team is basically unchanged from last year and we went within a kick of being in the running for the fianls. Agree we have a hard draw but be prepared for a few surprises.  Rocky will score well regardless.

What are your thoughts on Hanleys scoring potential early Ringo?
