Poor bloke, now it's all out there hope the media flower off and leave the family alone.

Capper

Just watching it now. Poor bloke, im surprised he didnt brake down.

Stay strong Billy

GoLions

Poor Billy :(

Was done really well by the footy show though, didn't really know how they'd handle it but was very professional

Bill Manspeaker

What The Foss was a pissa  ;D

GoLions

Rebecca Madden to be announced as new co-host apparently

PowerBug

That sounds like a female name. Surely the boys club won't let that happen?? :o They can't make their sexist jokes anymore...

In all seriousness though congratulations to her hope it all goes well :)

She's pretty cute so I'm happy. Seems to be a pretty competent journo from what I've seen of her on Sunrise and other news shows

Nige

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how she slots in with the lads.

She loves her footy and actually doesn't mind having a bit of a laugh from I've seen of her, so she could feasibly slot in pretty well.

Does come across quite newsreader-y, I think it's the voice, but hopefully it works out for her and the show.

RaisyDaisy

It's worked really well on the NRL version for a few years now, so it should be good here too

That being said, as long as Sam is around it will always carry the stigma, good or bad

I haven't watched this year at all and have never been comfortable with the sexism on the periphery of the show. The whole Lyon-Brownless thing is/was fairly unsavoury all round.

Heard about some wallet analogy that sounds crude at best, more than poor at worst.

I'm a father now with a young daughter and if any bloke ever compares her to a wallet I'd tell him to get f#cked...

"Heard about it" and hearing it for yourself is completely different.  Billy was in no way, shape or form, comparing his wife to a wallet, that's the bottom line here.

Way past the due date that they had a female on the show, but cannot see how there will not be constant sexist comments and innuendo throughout, especially from Sam...this could end the show for good if they aren't careful and pull Sam in line quick smart.

Bec does seem smart and tough enough to be able to put Sam in his place if he does say anything though.

I'm sure she is, but we all know what the media's like and how sensitive our nation is.

The chemistry is key here, I hope it works out.

"You don't touch a mans wife, you don't touch a mans wallet."

That sounds alot like comparing women to wallets to me...
