yeah no doubt you do, but if it's an accidental head clash like the Fyfe bump, and it's a legal bump, then I don't see how any player can get 2 weeks for it

The individual action isn't worth two weeks,  the future incentive not to is.

Plenty of accidental things get punished in the afl

that's the thing though. it was an accident, and it could happen at any time in any game. suspending a player won't change this.

unless they just declare that a fair bump is no longer legal

that's all I'll say though, I'll try not to derail the thread

The bump isn't dead, but if you had a different choice and hit the head,  you are responsible.

Yeah Billy is only backing up the rule put in place, but the fact Riska didn't get hurt should keep him out. But Fyfe should of went for the smother.

Apparently the Sydney radio is saying that he got 3 weeks for it and then they added 4 extra due to the severity of the injury. The poor guy that copped the ban is shattered and not going too good, but he is still better than Alex
