over thinking underestaimating and being to smart for ourelves with Murph?

After coming back from injury Beams only had 2 scores under 96, with one of those being his first game back. Was obviously a super premium the year before averaging 123 and so it's safe to assume he can at least go 115+ if he remains uninjured. He'll also very rarely get the tag (if at all) as teams will almost always look to tag Pendlebury first.

While Murphy didn't always struggle with the tag, he did have a few shockers;
57 against the Saints tagged by Geary
73 against GWS tagged by Shiel
51 against Freo tagged by Crowley
69 against Sydney in the Semi-Final when tagged by Bird

I don't want someone capable of scoring that badly when tagged in my team, especially when he will (I assume) be their most likely mid to get the tag.

Three games in the regular season that he struggled against a tag, and he actually got injured in two of those games but played on. Here are his other games he got tagged in last year according to FF

OK Doc, my current midfield is :-
Gazza,  Rocky,  Cotchin,  Beams,  J Trengove,  D Tyson,  J Polec,  X Ellis,  V Michie,  L Dunstan. I Have flexibility in defence and can easily come up with additional cash to add to the $34,900 I have over. So, Doc, who becomes Murphy ??  Picking Trengove as POD that should really improve to quite a large degree under Roos's 1st year, yet for me it would come down to him or Rocky, what is your opinion Doc ??  Cheers , rostered off for the next 5 days so have time to burn. proven scorer and is cheap as chips. too hard to ignore in my opinion. the way i see it, in the tail end of the season he wont be the worst M7 or M8 to have ;)

barring an injury he is pretty much a keeper.

Gazza - keep for obvious reasons
Beams - keep because is such good value
Cotchin + Rocky + Trengove + $34900 = Murphy + Pendles + $421500.

$421500 could become Macrae - who I think will improve by as much if not more than Trengove - neither will be keepers anyway so trade neutral - and gives you cash to get stronger elsewhere.

Or grab a mid cash cow for under $200K and really shore up R1 or bolster forwards.

Have swung things around to make it   Ablett,   Pendlebury,   Cotchin,   Murphy,  D Beams. Just means that Westoff and D Thomas make way for Pendlebury and M Wright, J Trengove for Murphy and it all seems like a fair swap.  Thanks Doc.   ;) ;)
