In all positions, which rookies are we looking at currently to be a lock or most likely on our teams?? This year i have been totally stuck with rookies and cannot work out which ones to choose

Until teams are named for round 1 its up in the air, although its probably narrowed down now.

In defence, there is a handful of guys who are borderline best 22, with only McDonald a lock at this stage. Guys like Cutler, Clurey, Laidler, Giorgiou (not sure on spelling), Griffiths, Langford, Cameron, Tippet, Fuller etc. Depending on who you talk to some of these guys are either round 1 starters, or no chance to play.

Mids like most years have plenty to choose from, but picking the right ones is trickier. Rookies worthy of a field spot so far would be Tyson, Michie, Polec. Guys like Ellis, Sheed, Dunstan, Crouch will all get games early too. Then theres a whole bunch of guys like Wanganeen, Taylor, Honeychurch, Hallahan who are speculative at best, and more likely to debut later in the year.

Rucks... meh... Up in the air at the moment, Nankervis, Derrickz, Thurlow, Naismith all will potentially get games, but no guarantees.

Forwards is also weak. Rohan is rookie priced, Kennedy-Harris is close to a lock. Kersten will get early games now Pods has left Geelong, and Markworth is a good chance considering Saints list is getting a makeover.

R.Griffen

Isn't Kersten injured atm??? source (Supercoach gold)

Maybe.

Unlike last year North have actually indicated that they are considering playing a second ruck to help Goldstein. But Majak may play this role some weeks too.

Hardly a lock! Besides a few strong contested marks had a very poor NAB challenge. I think Derrickz is the most promising ruck under 200K who is gonna get the most games this year

I'm really not sure McDonald is a lock at his price anymore. Especially Langford, Langdon and Georgiou are named round 1.
I don't think they all will be but I'm very worried that McDonald will cop vests early on. And at that price we can't have him getting sub affected scores or he won't make any money
