I originally had Grimes after watching them vs tiggers.  But honestly, I think it could go either way.  I'm keeping Swallow for now and hoping I don't have to trade him for Grimes after rd 2 but I won't be surprised if I do.  Hard to see them both going bang but my gut says one of them will.

If it that lineball, then consider byes.

If still no help then pick the guy in the better team ie Swallow.

Majority of players who score higher are from better teams.

It's swallow easily for mine. Grimes is a broken down defender. Swallow is a number one Draft pick midfielder.

Can't decide but my hunch is telling me to go with Grimes ...

SC rule No.3: Always go with your gut.

Marstar, pray tell what are SC rules No.1 and 2?

My guess is get Ablett as No.1 and Pendles as No. 2.

1st RULE: You do not talk about SUPERCOACH.
2nd RULE: You DO NOT talk about SUPERCOACH.

And I'd go swallow solely on Grimes' injury concerns. Even that's iffy though.. Too much talent in the GC midfield to fit Swallow I think. He'll be good but not consistently. Just go Webster and spend the cash elsewhere?

I think there another SC rule - something about form out of NAB matches !!!!!!!

I hate to disagree with most, but Grimes for me... easier draw, new coach. I also think he can average 90+ for the season with injuries behind him. I had Grimes and Swallow from the start, but not sure if I can fit both in.
I think Melbourne will be far more competitive than some think this season and Grimes could be a key player....but it's all a guessing game at this stage    ::)
