On the footy show they were saying he has a small fracture in his back.

Scumbag Barrett is doing what he does best and just speculating. He has injured his back and had scans and waiting on the results. It may turn out to be a fracture but it may just be bruising. Wait to see what the MFC says.

Even if it is just bruising there is no way Melbourne will do anything other than play it cautiously with Hogan. I'd be surprised to see him line up Round 1 now :(

Kinda glad he's injured.... relieves me of a selection headache.

Hope he get's back at about rd 8....  ;)

Yeah I would say it's very unlikely that he will play round 1 as well. No Hogan, Dawes or Clark for round 1. Finally the Dees get a decent midfield and they have next to nobody to kick it to in the forward line!

Dees confirm "stress reaction" in Jesse Hogan's back. They'll err on the side of caution. Expect at least 6 on sidelines.

LF

Well Dees forward line is looking pretty well stuffed now
no Hogan,Clark or Dawes

Ricochet

yeh might not be good news for Watts. They might have to play him fwd now

I can't see many other players filling that void tbh

Capper

What the hell is a stress reaction?? Did his back break out with pimples as a result of too much stress?

Holz

gone from cheap forward line to now having to load up there. Might have to role with 3 premo mids and thomas.

Key forwards for round 1 will be Fitzpatrick, Pederson and Howe. Not at all ideal but better than nothing. I wouldn't expect Watts to spend much time up there.
