F3, F5 and M10...
Which way do you go?

RaisyDaisy

Option 1, but that's prob because I cant see Cunningham or Crouch getting early games. Option one but Pav instead of Buddy might be a goer

Whats the rest of your team look like?

GoLions

Yeah Pav/Rohan/Dunstan would be ideal, but I'm assuming you can't afford that. So probably option 1 as long as Kersten is named for round 1.

The forward bench looks to be a worry, Garlett will not play and Sam Lloyd is also far from certain.

Also the backs looks weak, 3 potential non-starters in KK, Langdon & Fuller.

RaisyDaisy

I just don't think you can go with a stacked midfield like that this year - it hurts all other lines too much

Depends on rookie selections in Round 1 but I am happy to take the punt

Seems your defence is a bit weak, your rucks are a bit light on and your forward line is a bit thin.

I can't say it any nicer than that.

But boy, your mids are strong.

I reckon you can have a 5 premo midfield and forward line without it affecting your team too much.

Having said that I am going the Hickey and Sandi ruck combo as I refuse to pay heaps for Goldy, Minson and Cox and have doubts over alot of the other rucks in the $460,000 + mark. I'd prefer to spread the money I save in the rucks around my other lines to be honest.

I have Hurn, Grimes, Swallow and Suckling as my first 4 backs with either Griffiths or Laidler as D5 and McDonald as D6 but then again I've never rated the backline when playing SC and that strategy has served me well in the past with my top 500 finishes that I've had.

Ye went with a similar style last year and finished in 700's.
Everyone needs to upgrade eventually and I will just upgrade in defence/forwards where players are overpriced anyway

You can't upgrade if your rookies aren't playing, it's a new game this year, call it rookie inflation if you will. Job security, it should be the number 1 priority.

Very easy to replace rookies once round 1 teams are named.
Every midfielder in that team will play.

The rest on the bench can be interchanged.

Two forward rookies at 117k might be a stretch, but I guess you can roll the dice.
