This guy has been locked in since team 1, and that's a lotta teams ago. Just wondering, and perhaps a few of the Hawks fans can help out, is this form normal for Buddy during pre-season ?? I know the NAB means very little for prem players but his form is very ordinary. All comments welcome, in fact please comment. Cheers.   :-\

The Swans kicked 5 goals, you can't expect him to score well in a game like that.

Keep in mind though I haven't locked him in either, but this match has had no effect on my decision.

Like all along i said i couldn't pick him until i'd seen him have a hit out; just like Higgins/NicNat/Thomas, unfortunately he didn't quite take his chance like Higgins/Thomas and have not put him in my team. Obviously it was hard for to kick goals and find a reasonable amount of the pill in a game where his team gets smashed to that extent, but he was just unsighted all night! Got no where near it! Very worrying!

I've been hot and cold on Franklin all summer.  He's got a history of being inconsistent and it's hard to get a read on his new role in a new team.  He's currently in my side at F3 but am considering trading him for a Mitchell or a Walters who have looked in much better form (I know you shouldn't select premiums on NAB form alone but in this case it's more a reminder that if you take Franklin you can expect a few performances like that through the season even if he returns to his best).

Thanks for the intel guys, unsure on this one ATM.     :-\

Did you look at the conditions? Was terrible for a key forward

Judd Magic

I have the cash to turn Spuddy (F4) into NRoo.

Might do that!  8)

If in doubt always pick the mid, there's two excellent options in Parker & Mitchell and one can always switch back to Buddy if he looks like busting out.

Why are people changing their teams over a rain affected nab match?

Never judge premiums off nab cup matches

There's many factors at play here, Buddy has to sort out his role alongside Tippett & Reid, he also needs to adapt to a new game plan. At Hawthorn it was all about Buddy, I doubt this will be the case at the Swans.

+1 I cant believe after all these years people still want to question premium players on pre season games..

Ill say it again.. DO NOT JUDGE ANY PREMIUMS ON PRE SEASON FORM!

It counts for nothing, just as the result of the scoreline counts for nothing

I partially disagree in this case to "don't judge premiums during NAB"

His not the man at Hawthorn now. Tippett, Reid, Goodes etc and a shyzen load of mids who score well. Theres no guarantee he will average 90+ this year. Odds are in his favour to do so, but no guarantee

How long have you been playing SC? seriously every single year these threads get made and every single year they are wrong when the season starts. This time last year everyone took Goldy out of their rucks and put Currie in because of Nab form.. Look how that turned out  ::)
There was just as many superstars in hawthorn as there are in Sydney. I am 100% certain buddy will score more than 90. More likely to score 100-110.
The last game buddy played was infront of 100,000 people in a premiership win. Now its his first game back, wet weather, meaningless nab challenge in front of a handful of people in blacktown.. Who in their right mind would expect him to be firing on all cylinders for that?

Doubt RaisyDaisy at your peril.

Not many vacuous, nonsensical posts from that quarter IMO.
