Anyone considering him in defence? Proven scorer who could average 100+

Not with Mitchell and Suckling both down back already.

+1. Would love to, but Suckling may become Hodge after ripening.

Simpson as well has that bye.

Walker, Hurn, Heater.

But yes, too many Hawks (if that isn't blasphemy Lord Jeff).

GoLions

I would love to pick him up after his bye, and with Mitchell, Simpson, and Suckling in my team already it'd be madness start Hodge as well. I expect him to be one of the top defenders by the end of the season though.

Really depends on how many Round 9 bye players you have overall - If you can still get 18 scorers on field that is OK but will be a risk with 3 or 4 defenders out though.

Mitchell , Suckling , and maybe Langford don't know if I can squeeze any more Hawks in

HotTiges

Not massively wild getting Hodge in, maybe after the bye

Mitchell is an upgrade target 4 me. But I'm starting Walker and prob Suckling maybe Langford.

Hodge won't be as prolific as he has been he'll play defense a lot and maybe with a variety of roles. Injury is still a worry although he played 20 games 2013. Still he only averaged around the same as Hanley,Thompson,Hibberd,Simpson,Shaw,Murphy.

Any particular reason/s people think he'll go 100+? There aren't many high SC scorers at the Hawks they share it around even more than the Swans in terms of points.

If u do think that why not start him as a POD over Mitchell?
