got me second guessing myself here I currently have Enright in my team however $300 more is Taylor.

you could argue that Enright's consistency is great but not many big scores,
however Taylors big scores last year 11 x scoring 100+ against his sometimes low scoring matches playing solid defense to lower his avg.

anyone like to add their thoughts?

I think you've covered it in a nutshell. Enright is consistent but rarely goes big whereas Taylor has a higher ceiling but more up and down.

I think they average similar in the end so it depends on the ride you want to take to get there ;)

if it wasn't for the way Enright racked up 34+ pos in 3/4 the other night would be an easy decision, kinda feel like hes going to play a role simular to how A.Walker played last year for carlton.

Now vardy out with injury will Taylor slip through the mid alot more towards the forward line?

HotTiges

yeah been considering one of these 2. Liking Taylor for some reason, Enright slowing down..agree with both comments.. plus both will get 'managed' during the season..

24 disposals for H.Taylor against Collingwood...

Will be interesting to see how he goes again in his next match with Selwood back (but no Christensen or Stokes)

I think with Vardy out for the year there is a greater chance both Hmac and Dawson will play most matches. If this happens you would expect one to rest forward while the other rucks which I think in turn will mean less forward line swinging from Harry which could conceivably mean less bags of goals and less big 100+ point games.

interesting thought.   still think harry can score on par with enright even without the fwd time. but yes defently less fwd time for harry if you think of it that way

Doggoneit

Have to vote for Enright - just too consistent and will still give you the usual 95 avg.

His Standard Deviation last year was a very low 12

The best by any player who averaged over 100 was 19 ( Goddard, Mundy, Minson)

If youre happy with a 90-95 avg for the year either one is fine but i pick my premium defenders based on who I think can push 100+. I dont think either of these guys are capable of that

RaisyDaisy

Here's an idea - go with the one who is opposite to your other defenders

Eg/ If you have Hanley, he can go huge but have the odd stinker, so go with Enright for consistency to balance things out

If you have Hibberd/Simpson go for Taylor as they are consistent and Harry could be a match winner (or loser) for you

tor01doc

Or ask Quinny which defender will average over 95!
