Have had Pav but have found a bit of spare cash.

Is Walters a good option?

HotTiges

Liking both Doc.. maybe it's just tonight's flavour? Walters is a gun but he is dominating due to Doggies sleeping in the last qtr..

Walters doesn't seem to go missing as often as a lot of those little pesky forwards and somewhere someone said he's going to get more mid time.

POD or what!

I was just looking at Walters scores last year, and then you started this thread :)

I'm going to say Pav

I think Walters is someone that we all must at least consider for a moment, but his price is just a bit too much for me. I think he can avg 90-95 this year, but when someone like Buddy is the same price, or Pav is cheaper, I just don't have the balls to pick him

With that being said, I think Walters has a huge upside, 88 avg in first full season, is so much better then Ballantyne, Freo are going to rely on this kid a lot. Kicks goals and can do stints in the mids

I was just looking at his stats so obviously I am interested and see potential, but I think its his price which will see me pass. Could really break out this year, but odds are against him to finish Top 6-8 fwd, but will go close

That's a lot of text and not much context lol

Would only consider Parker/TMitch at that price.

Walters doesn't play an SC friendly role and I think it's pretty safe to say we saw his ceiling last season.  Small forwards will always kick goals but there's just not enough filler stats in between to make them more attractive.

With Pav's history, his strong pre-season, and a good showing tonight he is looking very tempting.  Contested marks are SC an premium, and the goalkicking should come back when the rust wears off.

very good POD but wont be after tonight. Had a good NAB so far.Always wary of Ross near Finals time though.. only thing stopping going either Pav or Walters.. Walters also picks up little niggly ankle knocks. So does Pav I guess haha

Also, he has a lot of Cyril about him SC wise. Based on last years scores he was tonning up with less than 20 touches

For me, Pav is better value, and that is what is imperative this year given rookie options.

Good point, Pav and Dahl gives me an extra 50k over Norman Gunston and Nosey Parker for example.

Sonny. A lot to like about his game, gonna be a gun, if only he was the same price as Pav.

 :)
Easiest poll of them all Doc. I don't like either but :-
Freo v  Bris  away
           Port at home
in the last 2 rounds. If they make the finals Lyon would definitely rest Pav
so it's a no brainer. Cheers mate.    ;)

Hmmm.

Top 4 or just finals or home final??

Too hard. Will need some spare trades for sure.

Id take Pav even if he cost more than Walters. Lock him in for 100+ ;)

Who would you take out of Pavlich and Zorko and why?

That's the one I am debating at the moment.

Pav is the proven champ but could get rested here and there while Zorko should bounce back from second year blues and get a bit more midfield time plus wont get rested.

Thoughts?  ;)
