Who would you take out of Pavlich and Zorko and why?

That's the one I am debating at the moment.

Pav is the proven champ but could get rested here and there while Zorko should bounce back from second year blues and get a bit more midfield time plus wont get rested.

Thoughts?  ;)
Pavlich. Zorko didn't have 2nd year blues (had a fantastic year for Brisbane), he had a change of role in the forward line that isn't as fantasy relevant. He'll be playing the same role this year, with limited time in the midfield. I expect him to improve a bit on last year, but IMO Pav will do better.

Cheers for that mate.

How about this one then

Pav or Dahlhous?

Dahlhous has been impressive last couple of NAB Challenge games and cheaper than Pav too.  8)

haha, JM, lovely to see you up and about, lol.

btw, I don't agree with GoLions - I'm on Zorko.

Howsomever, I love Dahlhaus - star of the future - but I'd take Pav as a proven premium who, while on the decline, has plenty left to give.

Honestly I prefer Pav to most forwards as I think he can push for a 100+ average (95 at the very least), and is only 437k or thereabouts. Not confident in anybody else around his price scoring that well, and even some of the guys like Mitchell, Parker, and Buddy for that extra 40k I wouldn't be taking over Pav. Just my opinion though, could very well be entirely wrong and Pav could struggle big time.

Rumour Zorko carried an injury through this - know anything GoLions?

IIRC he was carrying an injury for a short time, but that's not why he spent so much time forward. He plays his role fantastically well for us, and was one of our most important players last year. His forward pressure is second to none, being able to apply tackles in our forward 50 and keep the ball there to apply extended pressure on the opposition. But from what he himself said, he will be spending most of his time in the forward line, with short stints in the midfield. As good as he is in our mids, we already have Rocky, Redden, Rich, Adcock, Mayes, Hanley, Beams, Aish, and possibly someone else I'm forgetting. Very hard for him to get much time there.

Thanks buddy.  ;D

Fanfooty is kinda like my second home when I'm not at Bigfooty.

I'm on here everyday reading all the posts, just don't do as much replying as what I do on the bigfooty sc board.  8)

Um, Adcock & Hanley are fantasy backs. If Zorko plays forward, you're saying you're short of forwards, to be explicit.

Yeah might just stick with old Pav then. He's my F5 at the moment.

Dangerfield, Martin, Wingard, Franklin, Pavlich, Kennedy-Harrris (Kersten, S.Lloyd)

They get played in the midfield though (and I think Hanley is a DEF/MID this year?). Obviously they don't get played there simultaneously, but they do get stints through the midfield, which limits the amount of time that Zorko can spend there.

Jay two dads is not selected for Demons next game, JM. I'd be wary about yer benchies getting much game time too. Are they even elevated yet?

Yeah, in a losing side the D/M get more mid-time than the F/M, what?

I never said they get more time in the mids, just that the fact they do get time there limits how often Zorko is put into the midfield.

I'm not sold on any of the 3 rookies yet, just put those 3 there based on what I have been hearing and seeing and those 3 look like the standouts so far in a very thin bunch.

I can always swap them over to playing round 1 rookies when that time comes though.

I'm loving my top 5 forwards though, don't think you can get much better than that with a team that is pretty well balanced overall.  8)

Sonny Walters a definite upgrade target for me. 124 SC points last night, has that hunger. wants to play a big part, showing leadership, and now knows he has skills that are a class above most players. Should take it to another level this year. Mark my words :P
