West Coast coach Adam Simpson says that ruckman Nic Naitanui is a certain starter for Round 1 against the Bulldogs next week.

Thats not what he said this is what he actually said

is expected to play round one against the Western Bulldogs, according to coach Adam Simpson.
The first-year coach refused to lock anyone in as a certain starter for round one. The clubs first round draft pick Dom Sheed has done his chances no harm with some very impressive performances in the pre-season.
Not locked in as yet

i anticipate they will play all of cox nic nat and sinclair

Sinclair needs to be upgraded to senior list before he can play.

they will find a way i think

All depends if we have a spot for him only one player(Barrass) on the LTI list as not sure if Beau is or not I haven`t seen anything about that.

Yeh pretty sure today is the deadline or atleast this is what i have been told. Its possible that there is a loophole for LTI's but not sure of this.

Careful, Simpson mentions that Lycett & Sinclair could be brought in as insurance. Remember last time this happened? Vest alert.

I'm staying away, everyone here seems desperate for him they are ignoring the pre-season and how he might not even be completely fit by round 1. I'll get him in  mid season if killing it but for now plenty of fish in the sea!

tor01doc

Cortez,

Pray tell - who are those fish so plentiful?

By then he will cost you 700k!! Because he will be killing it that much and you wont be able to afford him!!!

cortez

700k might be just a bit of an overstatement. Anyway what's to say he isnt going to have more injury concerns this year? I just think he is to big of a risk atm. Go with a Mummy, Mcevoy or Ryder who should Avg 95+ and then if Sandi goes down or NicNat starts to avg 115 then bring him in. He came back from injury last year and look at what he averaged that is why his price is what it is!

To throw a spanner in my own works from looking at the numbers, NicNat played 11 games last year. First game he scored 40 as a sub, then had 6 straight games of 100+ including 2x 140's. Then 4 games in the 70-80 bracket. It's entirely plausible that the dodgy groin was holding him back in those last 4 games, if you discount them he averaged 120 from 6 games after the vest. 120point average puts him around 650k price wise... 130k more than his price tag now.
Can't decide, if NicNat is named and not green vested round 1, could well be worth the punt to start him... would also allow Pendles into my team. Hmmmm.

No guts, no glory right?

I'd love to pick NicNat now that he is meant to be playing but to do so you need to have at least 60k (For Cox, way more for Mino) spare in order for if he was a late out or started as the sub (May keep him if sub though) and i just can't find that much cash. Sucks that he is last game! In saying that i might risk it and take NicNat over Leuey...

Ricochet

flower I wish WCE were playing this week. Would make the decision much easier

Yeah but let's say you pick Lobbe or someone else from week 1, you can't change that player for NicNat if he isn't named or is the sub week 2.
