A DEF Rookie not on anyone's Radar, yet?

In amongst Hibberd's hammy twinge and Lobbe's unconvincing output last night I've noticed a potential DEF Rookie - thoughts on Tom Clurey?

His NAB numbers stack up but anyone shed any more light on JS etc.?

Tom Clurey (DEF) $123,900

PA vs Essendon
SC: 70
DE: 100% (12 kicks, 2 handballs)
TOG: 92%

PA vs Crows
SC: 63
DE: 73.7% (13 kicks, 6 handballs)
TOG: 86%

He's on quite a few people's radar, just doubts over whether he will line up round 1 ;)

Yeah could be a good option and those TOG stats are pleasing to see.

Hopefully he gets a gig round 1.

Haha ok, maybe just my radar!

I'm just so desperate for decent DEF rookies this year, haha

Yeah think we're all in the same boat... I've got a team I'm really happy with but lots of very iffy rookies and not enough cash to bump them all up... could have to trade a prem if they're not named round 1 :(

Not sure if there is a hole in Ports side this young bloke could move into? any port fans out there have a clue?

Dam it! haha, he was slipping through the radar oh so nicely  :P Love this guy, I think he'll play at some stage this year for sure. NAB Challenge has been great, Trengove and now Schulz down. I reckon he is worth every look.

Had him in my side for over a month.

Same here. As long as he is named in round one, given the lack of def rookies, I'd say he will be in a LOT of teams.

When you think you've found somebody  "not on anyone's radar", you should keep them a secret.  ;)

It was a strong team last night so he would have to be a chance for round 1

Essendon are hoping Hibberd will be very close to being ready for round 1. If not he will still only be 1 or 2 weeks away which won't be enough time to make any cash. I'd stay away personally and look at someone like Sam Shaw. You pay a little extra but will have good JS

Clurey plays for Port not Essendon.  ;)

If S.Shaw is named and there are still barely any back rookies then he could be in for me.
