Essendon are hoping Hibberd will be very close to being ready for round 1. If not he will still only be 1 or 2 weeks away which won't be enough time to make any cash. I'd stay away personally and look at someone like Sam Shaw. You pay a little extra but will have good JS

Honestly, I highly doubt any defence rookies are going to go under the radar when RD1 starts. Anyone who is named will feature in A LOT of teams.
