Early stages, but the Dees are once again playing a fantasy friendly game. Just a matter of if they can hold those structures in the regular season.

At the moment I have him as depth to Terlich and Grimes. I'd say one of those guys would have to go down with an injury.

Can't afford to really play with less than three talls these days (Frawley, McDonald, Garland [Georgiou, while Garland's out]) and someone who plays lockdown on smalls/mediums (Dunn). Top that off with Terlich and Grimes playing running back roles (Grimes can play lockdown, if a second is needed), that leaves Clisby on the outer for me.

Melbourne still have glitches in their midfield, but definitely something to work with here. For anyone not watching, Donald Ducks pulled a hammy, only minor I think

Has to earn it really. Based on tonight he's doing that, but Grimes and Terlich are simply better than him for now.

It's not just Roos, it's most of the Melbourne supporters. He's a lot better and valuable at half back than he is in the middle. He was simply filling a role, while we gained a midfield.

Vince, Jones, Tyson, Trengove, Michie, McKenzie and Cross are far more valuable in the middle than Grimes. Therefore there's no need to play him there anymore.

In short, no. Tom McDonald is one of the first names in our best 22. Takes the second best defender every week. Unless he is injured or suspended, he'll play every game.
