What do you think of him as a D5 option?
His best SC average to date is 91, priced at 400k..relevant or irrelevant?
Would love to get peoples thoughts on him.

cortez

In my side as D4 to be honest with you. Those sub games last year really hurt his average. Capable of averaging above 90 this season if he stays away from the vest!

Jroo

I think Pearce is a good choice, he's underpriced due to being red vested four times and we know he's capable of averaging 90+.

can anybody tell me what rounds he was subbed off last year? just trying to figure out his average

Vests in rounds 2 16 19 and 23.

Average with those 4 games out = 86 ish

Should be worth $460000 - costs $401000 - not huge value.

Tough for him to get a spot in freos team i would have thought.

He's got a spot but his problem is that Freos other mids have overtaken him and forced him out a little. Will probbaly get less mid time again this year

With a fully fit squad Clancee falls into out last couple of bench spots. Which means he is a very good vest chance... IF we have a fit best 22.
His problem wasn't mids overtaking him, he was given a more defensive role at time which also affected his scores. I believe he is a better player as a free running midfielder as his disposal is extremely damaging, but Ross is the boss and I can't see his role changing at all.

Freo's depth is impressive and they will want to get more games into Neale/ Crozier/Sutcliffe i would of thought. Then when Ibbo comes back how do you fit all these players in. I rate pearce though so maybe DeBoer should be worried. Nice problem to have.

De Boer wont go anywhere. His defensive forward pressure is to important for us

Freo just need to learn that you need to kick goals to win football matches - esp Grand Finals!!

Isn't that right Hawkers?

LOL love the Dig at Ross Lyons game plan...couldn't agree more all the great teams have a strong Offense as well as Defense...really simple thing but you can't win a game of footy purely by defending, at some point you need to kick a few goals yourself.
I believe Ross Lyons game plan works really well up until a certain point, meh maybe i just prefer fast flowing attacking style footy as opposed to holding possession and chipping it around in the back line...this isn't soccer.
Freo will be top 3 again this year but will Ross The Boss ever be truly successful. i.e A FLAG.

The defensive game plan was the only thing that kept us in the game right up until the end. What let us down was actually kicking at goals and taking our opportunities.
