For the record atm I have gone back to the future and have Cox and Sandilands as my rucks. Remember set and forget. Sandi may even be performing well enough to retain as keeper as well.

Strongly considering this also, will depend how teams shape up round 1. Currently have Bergerlands, if my rookies don't pull through I'll probably downgrade Pavlich for cash and then if the cash is there after rookies Coxilands will be my aim.

After perusing all options there was only one possible solution, that was the free pickle which at the moment is only a few lousy points from being the most favoured ruck combo. Leuenberger and Sandilands for me with a strong eye on Nicnat. Cheers and best of luck mate.    ;)

I feel like I have solved the Ruck issue.

Well, perhaps not solved, but I am 99% certain I am going with a premo R1 and Sandi R2

The problem I see with starting with 2 mid pricers is that you are going to need to burn 4-5 trades just on rucks throughout the year. Premo R1 is locked all year, and only sideways traded to another premo if LTI occurs

Sandi R2 stays R2 as long as possible, and one trade is used to upgrade him to another premo later in season

Obviously injuries can occur but with this setup your looking at 1-2 trades in the ruck all year where as if you start with something like Hickey/HMac/Grundy and Sandi you are going to have to use at least 2, potentially 4-5 trades on ruck. 1 trade minimum on Sandi, then if your starting R1 mid churns out crap scores which is very possible or gets injured you will be stuck sideways trading to another cheap ruck, which burns trades and gets you no closer to a premo setup. Yeah you can upgrade one of these guys to a premo, but if they have only gone up 50-100k which is no guarantee, you will need to burn a trade elsewhere to generate cash to upgrade your cheap ruck

NicNat would be considered a premo R1, but based on preseason to date he really does carry as much risk as any cheap ruck, which is why I think Goldy or Cox is the way to go (Minson/Luey/Big Boy fine too as long as you see them being Top 4 ruck). Yeah its an expensive setup but invest the money there from the beginning, and make it much easier to manage throughout the season
