hey guys first team up for a while. just wondering what peoples thoughts on it are?

Backs: Mcveigh, Mitchelll, Hurn, Suckling, Allen, McDonald (Langford, Langdon)
Mids: Ablett, Pendlebury, Murphy, Beams, Thomas, Tyson, Polec, Ellis (Dunstan, Robertson)
Rucks: Ryder, Sandilands (Thurlow, Nankervis)
Forwards: Dangerfield, Martin, Franklin, Gunston, Wright, Rohan (Kennedy-Harris, Lloyd)
$24,700 in bank

Feel fairly strong on all lines, maybe a bit strong in the forwards but dont trust many of the cheaper options.

Onlygot1shot

is there a reason for you choosing Jackson Allen? can u please give your reasoning

RaisyDaisy

Hi Cortez

Allen just doesn't make sense to me  :o

I think Murphy is a bit weak for M3. Priced as a bargain IF he can get back to his previous form, but I feel like I would be starting him at M4 if selecting him

Like the Ryder pick with Belly out, but be prepared for the rollercoaster

Allen looked pretty good the other night against Brisbane. had 17 touches and is 21 now so might be coming of age a bit. A bit of a POD too insteads of everyones choice of KK.

And Murphy well there is a thread up atm about who to pick out of Pendles&Murph or Watson&Cotch and its basically that and ive chose Pendles and Murph basically cause i think that if i have Ablett and Pendles i can afford to take a couple of risks with my cheaper premiums.

Looks good man.Heard a bit of talk about Allen.Could he be that d5/d6 we've been looking for.Tyson over Michie.could be a good POD.Dont mind Ryder, as long as his heads in a good spot.Gunston I like but not a huge fan of Wright..overall pretty solid foundation with some nice PODs

Cheers, just hope I haven't let the cat out of the bag with Allen and everyone jumps on haha.
And yea I like Tyson. Think he has a lot higher ceiling than michie and definitely worth the extra cash.
Ryder, well I'm expecting him to absolutely kill it for the first few rounds but when Bellchambers gets back well just have to wait and see what happens.
Ans Wright yea he's my big risk for the year. He won't lose money the only question is Will he go up. Can see him averaging 90-100 so I think definitely worth the risk.

Had a play around this morning and made a couple of changes. Haven't changed it all day so I must be currentLy satisfied with what I've got. Well here it is:

Backs: Mcveigh, Mitchelll, Hurn, C. Pearce, Suckling, McDonald (Langford, Langdon)
Mids: Ablett, Pendlebury, Watson, Beams, Tyson, Michie Polec, Ellis (Dunstan, Robertson)
Rucks: Simpson, Sandilands (Thurlow, Nankervis)
Forwards: Dangerfield, Martin, Franklin, Gunston, Caddy, Rohan (Kennedy-Harris, Lloyd)
$2,600 in bank

Thoughts and ratings much appreciated :-)

Not comfortable with the mid pricers - a lot of money being spent there for what could be poor scoring

Pearce, Simpson and Caddy I'm not huge on, but hey, if we all had the same teams it would be boring :)

Has Simpson really shown anything to suggest he would be a good investment?

Pearce - averaged 91 two years ago and scores a vest slot last year. If he can get rid of it should hopefully be back up above 90.

Caddy- with more midfield time and the fact he will just keep getting g better cause he is only young his avg Wil go up.

Simpson: with Vardy going sown can see him getting more ruck responsibilities with McIntosh playing a bit up forward. If you take out his injury game and the game he was subbed off last year he averaged about 110. In his mid 20's and coming into his prime.

Tell me I'm dreaming though if you think my reasoning is wrong.

RaisyDaisy

Hehe  :)

You have logic behind each one of those players - but remember, you don't need to convince me or anyone else, its your team :)

I guess the point I was getting at was, yes there is potential in all 3 of them individually, but for your entire team it just adds more risk, which could impact your overall results

cortez

Very true but you do need to take risks to do any good at this thing. If you just make the same looking team as everyone else you may crack the top 10k but thats It. Plus I do have 11 or 12 prems so I don't think in overloaded with mid pricers.
