Haven't heard a lot of people talk about this lad yet, what's the go with him? Seemed to play well today, or do people consider him over priced? I have had him in my team since day 1 and now I feel like i'm missing something.

Jackross10

i am going for Simpson instead!

colmullet

most of the talk has been concerning Brisbane's tough start to the year and the him being tagged...and guys like Simspon/Hibberd round the same price might be a more consistent option

travie500

Well I guess for around the same price your getting a quality beard which makes it good value. I just had a look at my team and it turns out I can afford the popular McVeigh in place of Hanley, probably worth trading the POD for a more consistent upgrade

Doggoneit

I've had him all the way though as well

but he is the def who worries me the most

I'm still tossing up between him and Enright - Hanley has upside but inconsistent and tag worry - Enright will give you exactly what you pay for week in week out.

Surely Rich get 1st tag and there is also Rocky to worry about.

If you can do this then - Yes

If he could handle a tag I'd lock him in..

Have him in at the moment, and just wondering if the tag was a problem last season, surely the Lions have access to a coach to help him overcome it.  ??   ??   ??      :-\ :-\

I posted this in a thread about Hanley a little while ago for what it's worth:

I reckon Hanley might not have as bigger problem with taggers as people think. Going by FanFooty, he really only got completely tagged out of one game against Collingwood in round 10 (10 touches, 49 SC).

In round 22 and 23 he was tagged by the Dogs and Geelong, and still managed 22 and 20 touches respectively (80 and 79 in SC).

I might be totally wrong, but for his potential he's definitely worth a punt.

Deciding between him, Simpson and Hibberd for D3 and D4 myself

Would only get tagged by a second rate tagger.

Also to add to what I just posted, in the game where Macaffer tagged him out against Collingwood, both Rockliff and Rich didn't play

U can't just overcome it. The tag is ridiculous sometimes.
Guys like pendles are insane. They have a player hanging off them at every moment and to dispose of it with such efficiency is very special.
It is a huge compliment to Hanley that he is second in line for it. And after the first two rounds he will b number one.
Very very talented players attract a hard tag and most of them fail under it.

Rich would b a beast of a player without it. Unfortunately he doesn't deal with it well. Doesn't have much breakaway speed.
Murphy was arguably in the top 5-10 players in the afl. Got a tag. Is struggling to deal with it.
Shuey is my favorite player. Such a jet. Unfortunately WC midfield isn't very dynamic. He is. He will b tagged and I doubt he will deal with it.
Hanley is still learning the game. He will not have a 100+ season with the attention that will b coming his way.

Rich will break the tag this year dayze. Watch him.

Rich gets murdered by taggers, Hanley is more manslaughterish.

Hahaha this pretty much. Although Rich can't be far off breaking it I hope.
