hahahaha almost everyone has had Rocky locked this year. He's started in my team since 2011 (I'm sure some people have had him locked since '10).

In regards to the RedRock combo, don't get me wrong I'm considering it, I'll have to wait until after R1. Brisbane did well however they were playing an undermanned Gold Coast side (Gaj, O'Meara, Prestia, Cannon, Swallow & Rischitelli all were absent) with what was basically the Lions best 22 (excluding Jonathon Brown & McGrath (neither of which are currently as valuable as any of the aforementioned GCS players). Therefore I don't know exactly how much we can read into the results of this game, all we can really take from this is the Lions do well dreamteam wise when they destroy their opponents. This leaves one simple question, how often will that occur in regards to a team which is predicted by many analysts to obtain the wooden spoon come season's end? The Lions have my sympathies because the 'homesick 5' set them back 3-5 years and this team was a 'dark horse' in the race for the 8 last season and looked like they would be back in full contention this season.

I think picking both Rocky & Redden on the basis of this one result (which will be a fanciful game for Lions supporters this year) is not ideal and my suggestion is wait until R2 to make this decision (I'll be doing the same). Hopefully they be playing a middle rate team (Power, Crows, Eagles etc.) so we can establish a perspective on how they'll do against top teams and their competitors this season.

I have no doubts at the end of this season the Lions will rack up a string of victories like they always do, but this is always spontaneous and we cannot account for this at this point of the year.

Don't think my main man Reddo enjoyed playing under Voss.

Thinking 4 years in a row with him is the go.  :P

It's unfortunate for Redden cos who is going to pick him over Rocky, plus who wants two mids from a bottom 8 team.  Guy will prob average triple figures, but ppl won't jump on till after the bye rounds.

Anyone read the DT Talk Article about it?

I think you guys are underrating Redden. Remember when Lions were terrible in 2011?

Rockliff - 112
Redden - 109

That's also the last time they both played in the middle together. A newlywed couple or even a 50 year anniversary couple couldn't be in love more than these two are.

As a Lions supporter about 25% of the team's possessions are these two passing to each other. Now that they're under Leppitsch their love story can continue and I think we'll both see them blossom

Everybody is going to have Rockliff, well a lot will

But look at Redden, he is as low risk as it gets

109, 102.6 and 94.8 in last 3 years. Extremely hard to see him drop below 95. Scoring what he's priced at is a worst case scenario, it's a lot more likely though he'll return premium. Also only just turned 23yo for this season so he's only getting to the age where he should be pumping out gun numbers.

Just about to mention 2011 myself :)

I heard that they originally lived together before 2013 so I'd refrain from using any term besides 'bromance'. I'm probably going to take the risk. For me my last midfield spot is between Scooter, Redden, Libba & Brandon Ellis. It'll be tough decided. I'll have to wait until after r1 though before I commit to any of them

might as well throw a blanket over half the mids
Scooter's the most expensive guy UNDER 600k, and Bellis doesn't even crack 430k

There is so much value in the mids this year. I'm seriously considering both again.

Throwing Fyfe into the mix as well. What would be your suggestion? I still have no idea on who I should select :-\
