Haven't seen any discussion on him yet and looks like a potential pick

-Looks very good value at 246k only around 30k more than Jack Martin.
-22 years old
-18 disposals and 63 SC points from 40% game time yesterday
-85 SC vs Melbourne last week
-Averaged 70 from 7 games in debut season two years back
-Rookie Listed :/

IMO I'm having a good hard look at him. The worst that can happen if named R1 is that we have to downgrade him pre R3 to a rookie we missed.

Thoughts?

He will be promoted in the next week or so, and yes, he's an absolute ball magnet. The problem I have with Miles is his round 8 bye, it's the same reason I won't take the plunge on Jack Martin. For me, it will be out of Tyson, Beams and Aish.

When GWS was first entering the league I had him in my team all preseason. Everything I read about him was that he is simply a ball magnet, and when he wasn't named rd1 for GWS I was very surprised based on everything I had heard, and then he barely played for them (Like you said, 7 games)

The kid knows how to find it, but considering he still rookie listed (although that could change soon), will be way down the pecking order with Richmond's midfield depth, and there are so many mid price rookie options at cheaper prices, I wont be looking at him

Yeah round 8 cheap players or rookies have not much going for them to many round 8 guns , only so many you can afford to get  :'(

He's an absolute ball magnet and I think he's a good chance to line up in round one.
Wouldn't worry about his Rd8 eye bye, you could trade him out by then.
I done a profile on him here.

I'm a big fan and think he'll do exceptionally well, but with Dom Tyson a little bit cheaper and with a round 10 bye it's hard to select Miles.

Nah Mate..all the rookie value is in the midfield this year with guys like Murphy,Beams,Daisy,Ellis, savage, shiels(if not tagging) its nearly impossible to take many of these mid price/under priced mids.

Who would you compare him to JROO - is he an in and under player? will he bring something to the tigers midfield that they currently miss?

He reminds me a lot of Mark Coughlan from a few back, he's a contested ball winning junkie. In his draft year he topped the list for contested possessions at the u/18 carnival. Had it not been for GWS preselection he would have gone top 20 in the draft.

Yes! I was going to say Coughlan, if people remember him. With Tuck gone, I think he could fit into our 22, to add some grunt into our mid. And yeah I agree with you Bully, Tyson is a better choice due to price and bye.

colmullet

very tempted if he gets an unvested round 1 gig, shown to have great scoring potential

If everything is even, I actually like Miles better then JMartin..... but is Miles a green vest candidate?

Hardwick has already said the mature aged recruits this time round were depth players.

Miles will be the first to be elevated, I expect an announcement in the next couple of weeks.
