How does this ruck duo look like?

With vardy gone Hmac will be the No1 ruckman for geelong.

Could trade out during byes when the pair hopefully go to 500k ish each.

You could go a ripe 350k Xellis type to a rookie and spend the 200k on trading the pair to 2 600k premos

thoughts?...

Anubis

Vardy was going to play CHF.

Simpson is still #1 at the cats.

What about Simpson and Blicavs ? they have already said that Hmac will need to be managed

Woppa15

HMac will still be managed. It just means Shane Kersten and Lincoln McCarthy have a greater chance of playing more games. McCarthy rated really highly down at the cattery, although Kersten probably just ahead of him.

Grufflez

Vardy out for the season after rupturing his ACL at training.... as a cats fan this is bad news and even more pressure on Hawkins to have a good season..

Have you told Dawson Simpson the bad news that he doesn't even get a look in for Geelong's ruck gig? How did he take it?

nrich102

Yeah, Simpson is the #1 ruck at Geelong

This

Vardy out really doesn't impact HMac and Simpson (and Blicavs) too much. Hoping Kersten can cement a spot, and I recall hearing something official last year about that possibly being the case - as in the Cats would be looking to bring in Kersten after JPod was booted out
