Both have started well in the NAB cup, could either of them become regular top scorers this year? I'm not sure about darling but with van berlo down i think wright is in for a big year through the midfield. Are either of them in your team?

Not considering Darling ever, will always be a KPP.

Wright is a maybe if he can dominate another NAB cup game, would probably need one of Gunston/Zorko/Caddy to fail or Danger/Dusty/Buddy to get injured.

I'm considering Darling for the start of the season, think he will go bang for the fist 4-5 rounds make some cash ad then trade him onto a keeper.

So all KPP's aren't ever fantasy relevant?

no but he's always played kpp and he's never gunned it. just hasn't got the speed or reactions to play in the guts while eagles make guys like Ellis sit on the bench

Im taking Wright with Van Berlo out he should get VB's run with role and more mid time

Artax

Wright ruined me in draft leagues last year. Not touching him.

vb is a tagger and kerridge is more likely to be used as a tagger than wright. kerridge did a few run with roles last year.  2012 was a good season for matty wright coz of the increased midtime he got. however in 2013 brad crouch took that spot from him and he was used exclusively fwd. with the new interchange caps you might find wright gets more midtime. but dont count on it. there is another crouch of the matt variety waiting in the wings, who might just hold him back once again....

wright is like zorko....proceed with due caution~

as for your comment on KPP Dukes. Gunston is a KPP. If he goes down you wouldn't get Darling because he is a KPP? Doesnt make sense mate~

I'd stay away from Wright to be honest, however Darling along with Gunston and Dahlhaus are set for big years IMO.

Makes sense to me. The hype around Darling isn't because of being a KPP, it because of increased mid time. If that doesn't happen then he's output will not increase....Can't say the same for Gunston right now

Even if Darling doesn't get much more mid time, just the fact they have reasonably good run this year should increase his output to at least the 80-90's.  Make a bit of coin, when he's peaked swap him for someone who has been playing at a higher clip.

I'm seriously considering Darling. One day he will make a move through the mids and he certainly imposed himself against Freo in the NAB game. He should score well early on with WCE's nice draw as well

Plus surely all WC's mids won't make it through the season injury free giving him more of a shot through the guts.  Tackling machine too!

everyone imposed themselves against Freo that day to be fair. I think he's too big a risk personally. I don't think the Bulldogs or Melbourne are going to be as big a pushover as they might have been previously, so I think relying on their good draw to justify picking him above others suggests that you should be looking elsewhere. No doubt his output will improve....but not enough IMO.

Who do you think around that price range will do better, or are you just staying away from that mid price range all together?  Interested to know because my list of guys in that bracket are:

Darling - Worth it for maybe only the first 5 rounds (if it was limited trades then I wouldn't take the risk)
Gunston - Always been a gun but lived in the shadow of Buddy and Roughy (will have some big ones, but also might put up a stinker...so does Buddy though)
Dahlhaus - Soft draw this year and looks like he might play up the ground a bit more
Elliott - Can have big ones, but also can be unsited (too up and down)
Caddy - Not sold with Geelong's tough run, although with all the other Geelong guns being tagged could let him roam free for the whole season!
Chapman - Gonna go bang till his hammies go bang, just depends if you want to burn a trade on a guy that is 100% going to miss games.
