Carved it up last week against the Lions reserves team so didn't really pay any attention to it.

14 disposals and 3 goals in the first quarter so far against a quality side in the Kangas.

He's just 22 years old so has a lot of room to improve.

Averaged 91 in 2011.

He has tagged in the past but in this sort of form surely he will be free to roam this year.

He's at a slightly lower price than Daisy.

Could he be an alternative M5 option?

Great when has the chance to be released, just like what happened in 2011 in only his 3rd year, but unfortunately is our go to tagger. In a few years time when, Mitchell/Sewell/Hodge etc retire he will take the next step.

Any chance of one of his teammates taking up tagging duties this year?

Where not a team that tags very often, its more the occasional run with role rather than the lockdown, which we have a couple players who can do this (like a Lewis or Sewell, but think Sewell will loose his spot early to Hallahan or Langford) but i can see this predominately being Shiels. If Thomas isn't fit, he certainly is still an option, but would be fighting with Savage, or just the cash saved from picking a rookie. Interesting prospect though.

Langford could be a great back rookie if he gets a gig for Round 1, like i said before, i believe he definitely will get some senior action but a bit later in the year. Looks right at home and playing exceptionally well! Will be amazing for us supercoacher's if he gets up!

Let me edit this: HE IS BEASTING! 17 touches, 4 tackles, 3 goals, 3 clearances at 77% DE! With 5 mins left in the 3rd! GOING HEAD TO HEAD WITH ZIEBELL! He has 6 touches!

Could be a saving grace for our backlines!

HotTiges

No question, I'm looking at Shiels, especially if Daisy isn't impressive.

Jimmykidd

yeah he played a blinder. will he get a game though? a lot of experience to come back to that backline..

RaisyDaisy

Really is going to come down the role he plays this year, but if he puts in another strong effort he will be hard to ignore

With that being said though, what do you feel he would need to average to justify the outlay? And can he reach that avg?

Tempting, but I think I would pass for the meantime, but keep a close eye on him over the first couple of rounds

Yah Shiels vs Daisy in full form and fitness you'd go Daisy. However it's a case of potential breakout in gun team vs a guy who hasn't played much for a year and has massive injury or rather potentially more injury concerns.oh and a glass ankle too.. Hmm

Sorry Hawkers, you've lost me.

Who is this Thomas fellow you speak of and why is he fighting for a spot in the Hawks line up with a St Kilda player? :o
