DEF: J. McVeigh, S. Mitchell, P. Hanley, S. Hurn, M. Suckling, L. McDonald (M. Fuller, A. Georgiou)

McVeigh and Mitchell are both locks and have picked Hanley who should improve again however I am a little concerned about the tag coming to him, do you reckon his too risky because of this??? Hurn I've picked as he is underpriced and has an easy draw early. Suckling is capable of 80-90 and at 312K he is pretty much a lock. McDonald should get games. Rookies are yet to be determined, will depend on the teams in round 1.

MID: G. Ablett, S. Pendlebury, D. Beams, D. Thomas, J. Martin, D. Tyson, V. Michie, X. Ellis (L. Dunstan, H. Cunningham)

Gaz and Pendles are the 2 best SC players so why not have both from the start. Beamsy is underpriced and is an absolute lock at that price considering he should go 110+. Daisy im still up in the air about, not sure whether his ankles will hold up and his position at carlton but hoping he can average around 90 and make some money. Now im probably 1 premo short compared to most teams here but im using the rookies here to make quick cash with some posting solid scores as well. Just watching the replay video of martin the other night, the kid is a freak, lots have jumped off him due to his price, however im hoping he could end up a POD and score well. Tyson has been dominating for the dees in practice matches, Roos said he is a 'key mid' meaning he will get lots of the ball (16 possessions in 41% game time in first NAB game), Michie also showed promising signs. Ellis should be a lock if named round 1, he killed it the other night in just over half a game. Dunstan looks ready made to play and Cunningham looked good last night, also played in 2 finals last year so they don't mind playing him.

RUC: H. McIntosh, A. Sandilands (D. Currie, F. Thurlow)

This is my risky line. Bloody rucks are doing my head this year, can't find a decent premo (minson and goldy too much for me) and nic nat I would love but his underdone coming into the season. Therefore I have just decided to try and make some cash and pick nicnat up once he hits top form and another in form ruck. McIntosh will be managed by geelong by just hoping for an average of 80 by him, sandi is a lock at that price regardless of his injury risk, if he could average 85-100 up to his bye I would be wrapped! Currie and Thurlow look to be the only rookies likely to play at this stage (derickx and Nankervis possibly) so I have got them for coverage hopefully and money generation.

FWD: P. Dangerfield, D. Martin, L. Franklin, J. Kennedy, D. Zorko, G. Rohan (S. Kersten, J. Kennedy-Harris)

Danger and Martin are locks, should be top 2 forwards. Buddy I can't look past at that price when he is capable of 105+, don't want to miss out on that. Kennedy is my POD, very easy draw early (bulldogs, stkilda, Melbourne rounds 1-3) and hoping he can dominate them and give me a good start to the season. Zorko is risky but his improved endurance and his love from leppa could mean more midfield time and back to 2012 form, would need Ringo to give me advice on that one?? Rohan is there just to play and make money, looked good last night. Kersten and JKH should both play hopefully.

SALARY: $37,400

Def; The only Problem i see here is Hanley who is likely to get tagged look at players such as Thompson & Hibberd instead.
Mids: I am surprised you have gone with 4 rookies here may hurt you Tyson was just ok in the 1st round of the nab challenge although its early days yet. You are pretty much answering your own question regarding the mids.
Rucks As mentioned taking a big risk Sandilands scored scored 91 against the Eagles. If Mcintosh can stay fit you will make plenty of money to be able to cash him in.
Fwds: If you are going to go for a POD at WC it might be Darling i think he may be in for a big year scored 80 the other night. Otherwise good depth here.

Give this team a 7.5/10

Hate to correct you there JTB but Tyson scored 45ish from 41% game time. That's not a bad NAB cup game mate that's pretty damn good. Plus he is ripping up every Melbourne intra club match, he should score as well if not better than martin as he is a clearance machine

felsty

Yeah Tyson went under the radar with his TOG. Very solid pick. Midfield line is much like mine. I have the same reservations about Hanley as well...

Better with Grundy in there at least he is young and fit only 4 quality mids and don't know if I would include Daisy up there with the others and cheap rucks don't like that and would like to see one more mid type in the forward line would ditch Kennedy good luck

I have an idea and it probably sounds stupid but its my big risk of the year. It's a waste of trade but one that could pay off. I really really want Cyril but im not willing to cop a donut/rookie score in his place for round 1. Therefore I have kennedy in that spot, I don't see kennedy averaging 100 for the season, but his first 3 games are against bulldogs, stkilda and Melbourne which is very easy and considering darling will be moved up the ground more, the main forward target will be kennedy who may also like the new strength rule in contests. He could possibly average 120 over the first few rounds and make some money at his first price change, I was then thinking of trading him out as he has geelong in round 4 and bringing in Cyril who has gold coast in round 4, very risky and I know cyrils injury risk but im backing him in and im loving his sweeping half back role he is playing in NAB and looks like he is always in the play, im willing to take the risk, to me its the move that'll make or break my season.
