Tough luck tbh. Injuries are part of the game.
sorry i'm late on the discussion but i agree with boomize
cannot reverse what you bid the whole reason we get 10 each and not 5 is if there is injuries

if not wha happens when the comp starts and i have an injury can i change them for someone no one bought that is tearing up?
no that wouldn't be fair and i tihnk it opens too much a can of worms if we start changing etc

Nige

Ohhhhhhh... people are thinking I don't want Kreuzer any more because of the injury?

I made the decision I didn't want him shortly after I got him. It was a stupid move and I regret it.

Whelp, what's done is done.

well kind of yeah
but if it isn't for injury and is just cause you don't want him makes even less sense to allow it as it was your choice to bid

of course i'm sure if he was playing and scoring 120 or more a  game you'd want him and we'd all be lining up to buy him...LOL

KoopKicka

I have the most money left :P

Ok I'm still struggling to wrap my head around what happens once Open Season starts.

Do we have to get 60 players all with the same deadline?

Justin Bieber

From what I understand, players only start when somebody puts in a bid for them. So only way to do that is to start off the bidding on somebody, then ossie will decide deadline for said player (cause would be unfair if somebody places a starting bid on somebody at like 3am, so the 24 hour ending would be at 3am).

But there is no order on who'll come onto the market, so depends on who people bring attention to first ;).

I think there is a set I me each night all auctions end because I remember discussion people bidding on players they want last minute and we just keep having those set closing times until people have a full team

This

E.g

The closing time might be 9pm

You can bid on any player until that time.

Its gonna be crazy,  bid now or later...

We keep having auctions until all have 10 players

So there's a deadline after a deadline....each day until it ends?

And there's nothing stopping, in theory, all 60 players to be acquired on the first day? If that's the case shouldn't there at least be a cap or something? Eg once there's 10 players nominated no more can be opened for auction until that day's deadline has passed?

ossie85

Its up to each coach to identify which players they want,  I have no issue if all 60 go in a day

I might have 6 threads open with 3 afl teams each, with staggered end times

For this one though Oss and the Frenzy that is going to be involved (Your decision of course) maybe allow closing time to be extended a little until no bids received within 30 seconds.  With the 30 second rule in play with posting there could be say 2 players in Group 1 say and I out bids in say 5 minutes before closing out bid in both go back in but can not increase bid on second player due to 30 second time out with posting.
Also with your theory in grouping teams am I right with this if player X in one of the teams has not been bid for I can place my bid say 1 minute before closing time. eg Melbourne has a closing time of 6:00pm I can bid on a Melbourne player who has not already been listed 1 minute before closure,  Risk I know but just want to be sure.

Gladiators and Cannons will be in the box seat for these imo.

I'm really against this idea :/ But I seem to be in the minority. It kind of takes away the idea of an actual end time, and to me it seems to advantage players who haven't planned there bids properly, and simultaneously makes players values higher. It would also change the rules mid-bid, and that would likely have changed people's strategies.
