Just to clarify,  cos I could see it happening. ...

Say if an auction ends 7:00pm

06:59:59 is ok to submit a bid

07:00:00 is ok to submit a bid

07:00:01 cant submit

Nige

I still feel kinda robbed.  :P

(i know you have said but feel while we on the subject just in case  ;) )

time now is 6:00 and FF time says 5:00
we use 6:00 and FF time is simply to keep track of the seconds correct?

Yep.

Btw, you can fix fanfooty time in the settings. Shows correctly for me

lol
good idea i never even thought of checking

changed it now to save me getting confused  ;)

HintT

With DST the clock is a bit dodge, everyone is on +1 automatically I think.

I was on -2 (WA) but changed it to make it easier to see times.

Master Q

Understand if it is hard to do, but do you think you could also add the prices of sold players to the bidding threads Os?

Check out the Team thread

So after we get through these 60 players or so we can bid on whoever we want for however much we want that how it works?

Ringo

That is how I understand it KB Say you bid X for player Y then the auction starts and Oss defines closing time.  May be wrong though. (If no one ups Bid then it is yours).

HintT

Wouldn't mind staggered closing times for them. So based on order nominated 6pm-10pm each half hour (in both threads) should allow for 18 players nominated each day, which should be more than enough, probably hourly, that way its 10/day. A lot less admin work :D

kb has it right... it will be up to the coach themselves to nominate a player

So how will it work if I want to bid more for the player KB nominates or is it once KB nominates his player and the amount he belongs to him. If this is the case my strategy needs to change drastically.

Say kilbluff wants Joe Bloggs.

I see he has 2 strategies:

- Enter his bid for Joe Bloggs straight away ($200,000), with plenty of time for others to bid. The risk being that others could then outbid him.

- Wait until the last possible moment to bid, and risk not getting him at all with all the confusion.

So no, you don't automatically get the player.

Ringo

Thank You and I assume with these auctions you will again set end time.
